Hazelwood Home Stay — Hotel in West Bengal

Though rooms are good n clean. But area location is pathetic. From the main char rasta market it is 45 min walking.( Or Taxi will cost Rs. 300/- each time)

To reach here , Outside city taxies are not allowed inside so u hv to leave yr taxi, if you are coming from Sikkim, take again local taxi, transfer yr luggage on yr own n reach.( This service is not provided by owner ) The rooms are at 2 stories below the ground level, ( 60 steps n tht too very deep steps) As we are not used to climb such deep steps it was very difficult for us to come & go.) Also we were travelling since 10 days so had more luggage n it was very difficult. Not reffered for Aged people or those having Knee or walking problems.

So my experience is not pleasent.. & i will not suggest anyone else. Instead you can get a good hotel in lower rate in market area where you can go out & come easily & also food...

The location of the place is great. Its only 15 mins walk from Mall road. The host, Lama Uncle is awesome. He caters to all our needs and is very helpful. He will come to receive you from Mall road. The rooms are very clean and the food is great and very affordable. We had the best time at this property. You get a very good view of the valley from the window of your room. The place has all amenities which will make you very comfortable like electic kettle, fridge, geyser, bed warmer, etc. All in all, definitely recommend to stay at this homestay. One of the best homestays you can get in Darjeeling. The homestay has all the facilities you'll require. The aesthetics are amazing. The view from the balcony is incredible, you can also see Mt. Kanchenjunga when the weather is fine. The host is amazing, he'll help you with everything you'll need. You can also order food at a very affordable price at the homestay. The only con I'd say is that old people may face problems as they'll have to climb some stairs, and then there's a walk to...
