If you’re seeking an unforgettable culinary adventure, Noryang Tibetan Kitchen should be at the top of your list. This hidden gem offers a remarkable dining experience that celebrates the vibrant flavors of Tibetan cuisine. The quality of the food is simply outstanding; every dish is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

From the moment the food arrives at your table, it’s clear that a lot of care goes into its preparation. The momos, those delightful Tibetan dumplings, are an absolute highlight—steamed to perfection with a delectable filling that bursts with flavor. The thukpa, a hearty noodle soup, is equally impressive, featuring a rich broth and tender noodles that create a comforting and satisfying meal. The balance of spices and the freshness of the vegetables showcase the authentic taste of Tibetan cooking.

Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a delightful symphony of flavors that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. It’s evident that the chefs at Noryang Tibetan Kitchen are passionate about their craft, and this passion shines through in every bite.

However, it’s worth noting that the experience can come with a bit of a wait. The kitchen’s dedication to preparing each dish with such care means that there might be a bit of a delay before your meal arrives. But trust me, the wait is more than worth it. When the food finally does arrive, it’s a reminder of why this restaurant is so cherished.

In summary, Noryang Tibetan Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich and flavorful world of Tibetan cuisine. The exceptional quality and taste of the dishes more than make up for the wait, and each meal is a delightful experience you’ll remember long after...

Nestled in the misty folds of Darjeeling’s hills, Noryang Tibetan Kitchen feels less like a restaurant and more like a warm invitation into someone’s mountain home. I stopped by on a cool afternoon, craving something soul-soothing — and left with a full belly and a lingering sense of comfort.

I started with their freshly made Tibetan bread, soft, chewy, delicious on its own, but even better with a dab of butter or jam.

Next came the wonton in chicken soup, and this is where Noryang truly shined. The wontons — crafted from scratch , hand-folded, tender, and generously filled — floated in a clear golden broth that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. There’s no shortcut here; every spoonful spoke of patience and tradition. It’s the kind of soup that doesn’t just warm you — it grounds you.

And the chicken hot and sour soup? A bold, fiery hug in a bowl that lingers long after the last sip. It had substance, with hearty chunks of chicken and vegetables, but still managed to feel light.

What I loved most about Noryang wasn’t just the food (which was fantastic) — it was the sincerity behind it. Nothing tasted mass-produced. Every dish had that “made from scratch” honesty, like it had been cooked by someone who cared about your day.

Whether you’re a traveler seeking a warm corner or a local looking for food that feels like home, Noryang Tibetan Kitchen is a quiet treasure — humble, hearty, and...

What a find! A hidden gem and such homely vibes. The beautiful ladies cook, bake and serve you with so much love that you feel as if you are sitting in their home for a meal. The place is open till 9 pm - I checked it with the staff themselves . Google maps says it’s only open till 5 pm on Sunday’s which is incorrect. It is open all days Monday to Sunday 9 am to 9 pm. They’ve a wonderful breakfast section too. The chicken steamed momos and the soft chicken momos are so good and juicy , full of flavour - the best momos I have had in Darjeeling and believe me; I’ve tried a LOT OF PLACES. The tingmo is a Tibetan bread which is so soft and best with the Shapta which is similar to chilly chicken gravy but a little on the sweeter side. Personally would recommend the Tibetan butter tea which is salty and feels like a warm chicken soup. They make everything - from rolling the bread, to filling in chicken to making the momos, steaming them - in front of you - so you see everything being made! Whoa! Warm, friendly and welcoming staff with a limited but clean, hygienic environment and seating. Must visit! It is located on an uphill slope road so make sure you go carefully if with senior citizens and people with physical fitness issues. Must visit ! Please take my word and go here ☺️ you will love it and like me; will keep going back again and again… I’ve already been here twice in four days...
