Stayed in between 11th and 13th November 2023.
First thing first. It's a good hotel but not the best that I have seen over the years all over India with the price tag that Hotel Annapurna charges.
Pros:
Lots of open space and parking.
Pool and bar.
Restaurant (check the timings) (a bit overpriced I presume)
Neat and clean

Electric kettle with cups, tea bags, coffee pouch etc
Bin inside the room
Daily cleaning and changing of sheets
Complementary breakfast
No restriction in entry time at night
Situated at the heart of the city
Electric rickshaw is available at the gate
Good AC
Good quality Lights fans
Almirah and mirror
Centre table chair
Bed switch
Electronic door lock
Will edit more if I recall more
Cons:
Room size is comparatively small
3 bedroom "ekante" is nothing but a two bedroom sized room with a mattress at the floor with an extra 1000 rupees. So be careful. Also the matress we received is not in good shape. I was lucky that I have relatives there and hence I got the chance of sleeping at their's hospitality in both days instead of the hotel. It was just unacceptable and horrible experience that we have paid all the money for a three bedroom space but the condition was not suitable to sleep in the floor with that torned and dirty matress inside that little space available inside the room. It was so congested. This paragraph is written in connection with the telephonic conversation made with one of the receptionist before booking and after seeing the condition of the room. It was informed that the three bedroom is bigger that two bedroom one and one can easily sleep on the floor with matress for which they will claim another 1000 plus gst. In reality the room is just the same as two bedroom one and the floor was just too congested for a person to sleep there. In my opinion either the hotel stops booking like this or should provide a bigger room for three persons.
One Lift was not working. While asking the reply was "yes we know it is not working." That's all. We have to take stairs sometimes.
Water drainage inside the bathroom was not good. It takes too long to drain the water completely.
The electric door lock stops working unfortunately in our room and we have got a manual switch 🙂
There is no open balcony and sometimes it feels bad to enter your rooms from a long narrow passage just like schools.
The pool was not ready on 11th. However it was ready on the next day. We have sacrificed one day 😊
Last but not the least, the breakfast. It was so so awesome. The breakfast made us to forgo all the bad things we faced. So many items with high quality. That's the best part according to me. We have enjoyed the grand breakfast for two days with so much happiness. Only for breakfast thing, we may forget/ignore the other difficulties faced in the hotel as...
Read moreThis Hotel boasts of being a 3-Star category property in Bishnupur. Boasting of 3-Star category is s reflected only in the Tariff and GST charged thereof. However, the management and their response to a challenging situation is not only cliched but horribly cut a sorry figure. The attitude of the people responsible for managing the property and resturant is lack lustre and a rating of poor will also fall short of the apathy that they met out to resident guests of the property. On the contrary the lower level staffs show much hospitable attitude towards their guests. This simple attitudinal difference marks that the higher level management of this property takes things for granted. People at much higher level should probably invest in training their people on how to prioritise a situation and what should be prioritise over what. Now coming to facilities and amenities, this hotel seems to living in a fantasy world, as their exorbitant charges doesn't do justice to the facilities and amenities offered for their guests. They follow a 5-Star category pricing policy, but lacks in every aspect of hospitality. Their only advantage is that it is located in a prime location just next to Bishnupur Tourist Lodge and the taste of the food served in their restaurant is reasonably decently. Again, there aren't much good eating options in Bishnupur and thus they exploits guest even in this regard. My personal experience of staying here has been horrible and I would never recommend anyone known to stay here.
Edit 1 - Response, from the owner shows apathy towards their customer. This further establishes the kind of hospitality being offered at the heart of business. Feedback is considered as defamation and that yet again proves their intention of making improvements. I have best wishes for the person who replied and I wish loads of luck to anyone who check-in as residents (I don't indicate who just visit for a meal, they are the fortune most here). Peace and acknowledgement leads to better customer (people) relationship, so I prefer to maintain peace by wishing you the best in your business endeavours, while I chose to stay put from this address.
N.B. - my feedback is based on purely my own horrible experience of staying for couple of nights with my family and comparative study of my experience in other 3-star, 5-star and even 7-star property. I have had no intention to harm anyone reputation, but to guide my followers or whosoever is looking for an accomodation in Bishnupur. While the feedback is based on experience, the Edit is provoked from the behaviour of the management staff and also the handler who respond to...
Read moreLocation – good. All must visit places are near by. I visited on 18th June for one night with my family.|||The hotel is quite big and considered as a best hotel in Bishnupur. Facilities like restaurant, bar & swimming pool are there. Well behaved and Friendly staff but found the management & their maintenance very poor.|||Room – was quite spacious, clean but the bed linens quality was very bad either stain or tiny holes on it . After I complained the house keeping boy came with bunch of bed sheets & blanket covers. Unfortunately all were like this . The spring mattress was very uncomfortable. I wondered how the best hotel can use these kind of things.|||Bathroom – first of all either make a proper glass partition instead of half partition or use clean shower curtain. Both the things can’t go together. It was looking like hotel was using shower curtain to protect the glass from water & the shower curtain was too dirty.|||Food – b/f buffet was nice. Bengali food was great. At lunch we ordered shorshe ilish, payaj posto which was great. However for other cuisine staff & chef were not well trained. They didn’t even know the meaning of the food name mentioned in the menu. At dinner we ordered pasta arrabbiata from menu. The person was taking order asked me which sauce I wanted red or white. I understood they didn’t know the meaning of arrabbiata. I explained him that arrabbiata means red sauce but unfortunately I received white sauce pasta which was overcooked. |||It was nice of the hotel that while checking out they gifted me a terracotta shankh as a...
