Hotel Tirupati International — Hotel in West Bengal

Being close to the Kolkata airport and their offer of 24/7 shuttle to the airport was why I booked this hotel. But I did not realize that finding the hotel with a taxi would require encircling the place a couple of times, getting frowned at by the cop, finally getting dropped with your luggage and all for trekking through a maze of narrow alleys and straining your neck to discover their signboard ! Whew! Having made it to their tiny reception area, tired and desperate to get to your room, you realize that it is on the third floor and they do not have an elevator. ||||The rooms themselves are very spacious, neat and with all the amenities in place. A tad bit garish with the colorful walls and all. All quiet and peaceful if you are not claustrophobic.||||The shuttle to airport did not materialize free of cost since it appeared I had clicked the wrong buttons. If you are up to it and luggage was minimum, the domestic departure terminal is a 15 min. walk, through shortcuts, after crossing the Jessore Road. I booked this hotel through Goibibo. Stay in this hotel was the most worst experience of my life. As soon as I went there they took me to a near by building which is also someone's house/lodge. They told they are full and they could provide only this room. Since I was tired from a long journey I agreed to stay there, which was a wrong decision. The room had a small LED TV, and a AC which could be disconnected from outside. In the morning they disconnect the AC from outside. The bed provided was equivalent to a wooden planck. The paint in the room was peeli g and the toilet was dirtiest ever seen. Stay in this hotel was a horrible experience. WiFi speed was good that's the only good part in this hotel. The towel which they gave me looked as if the receptionist was using it....

The hotel is more of a budget lodge located close to the airport. The reception staff are rude and behave as through they are doing a favour offering a rooms. The servce staff are courteous and helpful. I was offered a room on the 4th floor, and the property does not have any lift. It promised free wifii but did not work in the top floor. They did not even bother to look into it in spite of me requesting multiple times. I requested a chair for working on my laptop twice which never turned up. I was first given a rooms without a TV and later swapped to the opposite rooms with a TV. The fan only works in full speed mode. To add to my horror a person walked into my room at midnight thinking it was not occupied. Breakfast is offered in a quarter plate....
