Hotel Suprabatham — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Perfect place for a small family evening eat-out. Let the entrance not deceive one- walking inside there is easily space for couple of dozen of people, which can easily be occupied during peak hours.

The ambience is cosy, waiters are polite, the menu is vast, the prices are not very expensive and most importantly the food is visually pleasing and tasty without being artificial.

Went out with 4 of us, started with a soup, a starter, main courses and a dessert and ended with an 800 odd bill, which is very practical.

Had the pepper soup which is not for the faintheart- it is spicy and can be called the veggies' version of the aatukaal soup. Then the Gobi 65- well plated and tasty one this. For the mains, had a palak dal and mutter masala along with phulkas, methi roti and tandoori rotis. Two gravy dishes were studied for the four of us. Finished the meal with a serving of the hibiscus juice with honey- buy 2 and get 1 free! It had a good quantity of honey in the bottom and the bright red juice was tasting more or less like a honey juice.

Quality and service - Fell off Not that great experience like which was 3years ago quite a bad one the quality and service had went down literally, horrible service and taste!. It was my go through restaurant whenever I felt like having vegetarian food in the past but not anymore! The service and quality of the food had dropped to the bottom of the earth. 1)The waiters will have a fight with themselves before taking the order because of the senior junior issues. 2)The order will take minimum of 30minutes before it reaches you 3)if u place an order for other extra dish it will take its own time 4)The table cleanliness is not great 5)Billing is equivalent to saravanabhavan but not meeting quality standards 6)Most of the menu card items won't be there 7)Billing is also a tedious process! The place known for it's Vegetarian Meals was on my Bucket (Anda) list for a long time now. I'm glad I checked out this place. It serves one of the finest Vegetarian Meals The Meals that's priced at 85 is unlimited. The Poriyal of the day as mentioned on the hand written board was Potato but got Yam (Karunai Kizhangu) I'm guessing probably by the time I went, it must have gotten over. Vendakkai Sambhar was top-notch. The Mor Kuzhmabu was slightly tangier but I like it that way. Poondu Rasam was too good. Special mention to their special Avial. Payasam was good.
