Hotel Adithya — Hotel in Zone 5 Royapuram

I've traveled for years but never ever experienced something remotely close to what transpired. The guy at the reception (tall, well build man in his 40's mayhaps) literally started shouting and creating a commotion, just cuz my handwriting wasn't upto his expectations... I know it sounds funny ... but this big guy with a Lil mustache and all looking like a rogue literally popped out of the counter, looking to take a swing at me ... Luckily two others traveling along intervened and I made it out in one piece... This is how it started... he wanned my ID .. So I give him my Aadhar Card and then started filling the register as instructed by him ... Agreed my handwriting isn't the greatest but there was no reason for one to literally start yelling saying he can't make out what I was writing... He was like don't act smart when I told him that's as good as my writing got ... He starts yelling saying the register goes to he cops and they will shout at him, if the writing is bad... I mean ... I've an online registration under my name and number ... I just handed the guy my Aadhar originals ... Does he expect me to score 10 on 10 in writing to be able to take the room. He seems extremely ignorant.. I badly wanned to cancel the room but I had to make it to an appointment and couldn't afford to waste time in dealing with more nonsense ... This kind of arrogant people need to get some sort of etiquette lessons ... Than spoil someone's day just cuz his misses fought with him maybe.. This has been a very bitter experience and I hope the management talks sense...

Horrible is the experience. No maintains done for last two year. The location is near by central even tho when we enter to the street of the hotel situated its so pathetic and low class not a place for family and not worth for 1400 per AC room. Hotel boy/Housekeeping staff are very rude and non co-operative. They don't have common sense how to behave with customer. AC is making huge sound during the starting 10/15 minutes. No AC remote provided after multiple request. No hot drinking water available in the morning even the the hotel boys are not providing that after request. Bathroom Flash, basin tap and main tap are not working at all. Basin tap is so hard that have to apply heavy force to get every drop of water. None of the fans regulators are working. Bed sheet, blankets and pillow cover is very old and not cleaned properly. Towels are not cleaned at all. Reception staff behavior is very rude. When I told him about the room condition, he shouted and told to leave the room immediately. But I could not leave because that day only I have donated blood. After multiple request he allowed to to satay for...

Rooms were big and clean enough.. but they didn't provide any bathroom amenities even after we requested them to provide the same for multiple times.. The AC remote was not functioning. So we couldn't control the temperature. We informed in the front desk about the same twice. But they didn't provide it & said us to switch off the AC and keep fan on.. They didn't provide drinking water in room. We askd to roomboy for the water.. we paid extra money for drinking water.. The room is not having any intercom facility even.. we took Room for 4 but only 3 Quilts are givn. We askd for the 4th one.. but they didn't gve.. And the hotel is near to Chennai Central Railway Station. That's the only one good point we can say about the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel is so pathetic. No restaurants are nearby.. we have to walk to next Street...
