Hotel Santhi Bhavan — Hotel in Zone 5 Royapuram

WARNING FOR ALL POTENTIAL TRAVELLERS:The Hotels neat and all....but the hospitality they show is very poor. When I checked in no room boy was assigned to carry my luggage. I had to carry it all the way to my room. One of the receptionists just guided me to the room. Even he was not hospitable at all. He was acting as if I was staying there for free. Just showed me the room for 5 secs and went away without asking if I was okay with everything. I was shocked to see the Hotels Premium Rooms Size and restroom size. They claimed it was 196 square feet in Makemytrip. But you could easily tell it was way shorter than 100 sq.ft. The Bathroom was built for Midgets and small babies. When I raised a complaint and asked for a change of Rooms...they shifted me to another room same as this. And then after complaining to MMT, they finally moved me to a better room with extra space. That was also of the same category. The room is somewhat clean compared to other Dumpyard hotels in chennai. Still you could smell cigarettes in the room. The infrastructure of the room and hotel is very jampacked that theres no cellphone reception inside the hotel. I had to struggle for internet speed inside the room. Overall my verdict of this hotel is: Dont go to this hotel without booking of any online websites. They atleast make these kind of hotels accountable for their mistakes and make a change. But if you book a room directly with them, then its going to be insanity. You will be treated poorly than a beggar. They might even kick you out if you seriously question them. Thats the kind of business many hotels in chennai conduct. So this hotel is a definite no-no for people who expect some decency from hotel staffs and a good quality product and service. You could easily find 100s of rooms with lesser prices in chennai. I gave 1 star because theres no rating...

Extremely poor service - I book room in the same hotel every year for the exhibition and this is my last with them - I suggest everyone not to book rooms. Their rooms and service is worth just below Rs 500.

Room : untidy - bedsheets has stain and some wet black color thing - rooms are very small and not at all worth for Rs. 1400 - we can get the same type of room for rs. 500 opposite to the same hotel

Service : Extremely poor - they will charge everything in advance including food and they say breakfast is over - then waited for half an hour for breakfast - even the bread which they were hiding inside the drawer - kept corn flakes without milk - no tea or coffee - idli dosa and other things will be served limited qty and then they will ask us to wait for another half an hour They has just one guy in the kitchen who has to cook all 4-5 dishes from starting - poor guy - very bad management

I suggest - please book some other hotel - you will regret if you...

I never seen such worst welcoming we recently had a stay for 3days one of the bad non welcoming aged people with worst attitude first of all people are not coming to stay in hotel for free to show such attitudes towards guests 2nd worst room which the price was not Even worth full too pay no water was filled glass uncleaned blankets dirty fan was not working properly even we requested for ac room they told it was completely packed room was completely stinky washroom was not cleaned properly I don’t want kind of management it is to keep such grudge mental people in reception but one person who served us with breakfast buffet I could say he is such sweet person who requested to wait since and to approach towards customers I wish this could be helpful for upcoming guest and the boys who work there was really helpful apart from those two old people who was in reception need to know how to behave in...
