Dad brought us here because his godown was in the market nearby. I remember the present staff being boys whom he called 'tambi' or Tamil for little brother.||||The lift is forty years old but everything around has changed. Over the years, brick and mortar building has completely been furnished with wood to the extent even walls are panelled and I barely see any gaps between two surfaces where any plaster could peel.||||Not only is every room air-conditioned, their restaurant serves all guests at reasonable prices. If you forget to switch off the a/c, unlike hostels where I have lived no one is going to scold. To make me comfortable, they engaged a maid for cleaning my room. Also, there are a number of street food joints in the area nearby so you can try them as well. But some of the rooms are very badly maintained and there are a lot things that they need...
