First of all they no where mentioned that it was a shared apartment and when the guy showed us the apartment he never mentioned that people will be coming and staying in the other room. When I saw the other rooms door locked in the apartment I asked him what it was, he just said it was another room and never explicitly told us that some random.guys will be coming and sharing the apartment with us. I have already stayed in an apartment in banglore and the entire apartment was for us. I booked the apartment thinking the same. But that was not the case. You imagine going with your husband on a very important work to Chennai for the first time and find this information after paying the entire amount for the stay. It was really scary and uncomfortable.
I had booked the apartment for five days thinking we will get the experience of staying in a home and not just in a hotel room. If some stranger is sharing an apartment with you, how will you use the common area without hesitation. And we were tired from the travel and came at night to just sleep off, but then after paying the guy and then locking the door you randomly hear the bell. I go and open the door, he is like I am staying in the other room. It was such a traumatizing experience. When we raised this concern to the person he was like this is how the serviced apartments work. And the people staying in the other room also kept complaining about us saying we are locking the main door. The information was never shared with us and how do you not expect us to lock the apartment main door. It was such a horrible experience that we checked out the next day. And it is not worthy to pay such an amount to share an apartment with some strangers. You will get pretty good hotels with good room service. And the apartment was also not so clean and the...
Read moreFirst time I was booking a serviced apartment, didn't know what to expect. For the un-initiated, it's basically an apartment with each bedroom converted into something similar to a hotel room.
The rooms were excellent, clean, well done with all standard facilities as you would expect in a 3+ star facility. And everything worked properly, nothing broken etc.
Since I booked two rooms, I basically got an entire apartment to ourselves. This included a very well stocked kitchen with all utensils you would need to cook, an induction stove, RO water purifier and fridge.
Location-wise even though it's near forum mall and all, I didn't really like it because there's literally no grocery stores or anything nearby if you need to buy something in a hurry. Also very few restaurants close by. And getting an Ola/Uber auto/cab in chennai is a big hassle, so that's the only thing I felt was a downside if you don't have your own vehicle.
We didn't bring our own vehicle so parking was not a consideration for us but you might want to check with the property if you do.
Overall, a very good place to stay at a very very reasonable inexpensive price. Would definitely...
Read moreAt first, we, a group of 4 females were not sure about booking a serviced apartment, but after experiencing the service and amenities at the apartment, we feel it's totally worth the price. It's a brand new apartment and we booked both the rooms, hence we had the whole space for ourselves and we felt like we were chilling at our homes in the middle of a city. The owner is extremely kind and helpful and guided us throughout our stay to reach must see places and best eateries around Chennai. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. We availed the breakfast facility which was available and hence we had hot food delivered to our rooms. The apartment also has a functional kitchen and we could make tea, store our food in the fridge and reheat it when needed. The apartment has a security gaurd hence our safety was assured. We totally...
