Bobopod Paskal, Bandung — Hotel in Bandung City

I've been here at Bobobox Pods once, about a month after they first opened. Kind of curious about the place (and several other similar capsule and pod accommodation) so I decided to give it a try. Too bad the first time I came to check in, there was a problem with my booking which I've made about a week before through Bobobox application and I've already paid. It wasn't in the system. That was very annoy I've almost decided to cancel stay because the staff on duty kind of took a long time to solve the problem. Finally after it was just few second before I've reached my boiling point, they solved the problem and I finally can check in.

The place was cool and technology minded, you need to have Bobobox application on your mobile phone to unlock the door of your pod. The pod itself is quite spacious, with huge king size mattress and some space to sit down and store your belongings. Each pod is equipped with mood lighting that can change colors.

There are two bathrooms for male and female in each floor, consist of separate shower and toilet cubicles. They were clean and each shower cubicle is equipped with liquid soap and shampoo dispenser. Too bad the hot water took very very long long time to come out. At least when I was taking shower early in the morning. Btw, when I was about check out, the water was off.

There are communal spaces through out the premise. On the main ground level, they have small communal kitchenette, saw a microwave oven there. Too bad they didn't have communal refrigerator. On the second/third floor there is a mushalla. The praying matt is made from kind of bamboo or something like that, got stick into my foot.

The bobobox location is quite strategic, pretty close to train station. Located in a main road plenty of eateries around. Other than the incident I had during check in (which really really pissed me off, went madly) I must say it was a great budget accommodation, suitable for...

Since I had an event in Bandung and was going alone, I decided to try staying at Bobobox Paskal. A friend who had stayed there before recommended choosing the double bed option because the capsule would be bigger, so I went with the Earth Double Bed (lower capsule). I arrived in Bandung around 9:30 PM and was asked to install the app because they would provide a barcode for the shoe locker, entrance door, and room door.

I was assigned to room number 60 on the 2nd floor. The directions to the room were clear, as there were capsule number indicators on the floor. On the 2nd floor, there was also a shared lounge area with two massage chairs and several tables and chairs for eating or chatting.

Inside the capsule, it was quite spacious for two people. They provided 2 towels and 2 pillows, just like in the pictures. The room lights could be adjusted, and you could also play water or forest sounds. The bathroom wasn’t far from room 60 and was separated by gender. In the women’s bathroom, there were 3 shower rooms, 2 toilets, 3 basins, 1 hair dryer, and 1 hand dryer. Only a 2-in-1 soap/shampoo was provided in the shower area.

As for the location, it’s a 5-minute walk from Bandung Station. To the left, there’s a salon and Bolu Bakar Tunggal (grilled sponge cake shop), across the street there’s a supermarket, and to the right, there’s Sendja (massage). A 5-minute walk further leads to GOR (sports hall), where there are plenty more food options.

Overall, I was very satisfied staying at Bobobox and would definitely stay again if I get the chance. For sure… Thanks also to the...

You can open the door with barcode , scan your barcode from Bobobox Apps in front of your pods. Every pods equipped with Pillow, Blanket, Stop Kontak, Bluetooth Speaker, Hanger, Table and Chair with minimalist design, Air Conditioner, and Exhaust. Guest will get Sandals, Towel, Tooth Brush and Tooth Paste.

They have public facility like pantry area, equipped with Microwave and Water Heater. This hotel has 3 floor, the have 2 type of room namely Sky and Earth. for Sky type the bed has on the top and Earth type the bed on the bottom. Lower Floor has public are for relaxing, 1st floor pantry area, and 2nd floor is Communal Space it's use for smoking area , eating and working space. Beside the communal space has a praying room equipped with pray clothes. The other facility has a park area for car and scooter.
