Golden View Hotel — Hotel in Batam City

Good hotel. We were in Family Room (2 rooms /2 baths/living room) and stayed for 3D2N.

Check-in process and welcome were great (5). Swimming pool is good (4/5), cost one star for people smoking around the pool where kids also playing. Gym has good equipments and music and good view of the pool (5/5). Sauna was good, warm enough but people were talking loud on their cell phone instead of relaxing :(. Breakfast had good varieties and spread (5/5).

Room service was good, but can be improved (considering a sizable foreigner clowd they should consider putting a person who has good fluency in English to answer and take order), ordered dinner and took almost an hour to come, good portion but quality was not great. Room was very clean but had a strong cigar smoke odor, room service could have given us or done room spray (3/5)

They should consider giving a handout/Pamphlet on services/facilties available in the premises, timings, and nearby places to explore instead of expecting guests to ask reception for everything or read on the posters kept around the car standing in the reception area.

Hotel should consider doing some serious maintenance work in rooms (2 wooden slabs on the master bedroom floor were not fixed properly and creeped, bathtub plug didn't work so no use of jacuzzi).

Hotel located within Walkable distance to chocolate house, miniature house park, golden factory outlet, golden prawn restaurant, and golden café. (5/5). Hotel located at 10 mins taxi ride from batam centre ferry terminal.

The FO staff is nice and friendly, work fast, and when i check in, the hotel is crowd, turn out this hotel was usually use for government gathering event. When i checkout i notice there are 2 school event on the same day celebrate graduation day. The hotel rate is good rate for planning events here. I also get good price deal through this apps. On weekend so many tourist stay here and they also provided shuttle bus on schedule. I like the welcome drink, it taste good. THE ROOM SIZE IS BIG and spacious even for superior type of room, on other hotel it might be deluxe size already. For Family, i guess this hotel is verry good to bring kids, because they got swimming pools for adults and kids. The communal toilet on first floor is clean, and they took fire hazard prevention verry seriously, because i notice some spot is well equipped with the fire extinguisher and big water hose. Even they got staff scheduled on board written not far from swimming pools access. They got billiard tables for guest to play and live music every night when i stay there. They got Pub/Club if want to spend time with friends. I like the room, because its soundproof, complete amneties, fast dry hair dryer and clean bathup. I wish i can put more photos than 20 picture. We stayed at Golden View on several occasions before. But this visit was one of the best in terms of hospitality. Sadly, I didn't manage to get the staff's name. I hope the mgt could trace them down and inform them accordingly.||1. Prior to my trip, I had communicated to the marketing team on some queries. The marketing lady had been very helpful in attending to them. And even informed me of the applicable discounts in the month of December. We were also able to enjoy discounts at Golden Prawn and on our kueh lapis purchase.||2. We were given free shuttle services to the activity zones and kueh lapis areas anytime we wanted. Staff were always smiling and helpful.||3. We were a family of 11. We made a last min decision to hire the hotel car for 3 hours only. One of your Malay concierge staff in red uniform, slightly shorter on duty yesterday morning had been extremely helpful when we informed that we needed a car for 6 pax for 3 hours rental. Whilst 5 of us will take the hotel shuttle for shopping. And a shuttle from 4pm to send our luggage from the hotel to pick us from Nagoya Hill to the ferry for free. He arranged everything for us seamlessly and within less than 10 minutes notice.||We had 6 kids and 6 luggages in toll.
