Thank God I can have my staycation here times ( stayed around 6 times less than a month ) makes me kinda like a repeater guest, hehe. Well, my first impression of this hotel is “good” not except too much as we know they rent the room cheap due to the pandemic. No hairdryer, comb, slippers or bathrobe, the water heater unstable and licking ( you can find a room with a plastic blue shower and not the same as the original one ) , the air con is so loud and licking in some room and am fine with it. I used to order food from their room service, one night I asked a guy in reception he said it close at 11pm as written in their brochure but then I called their kitchen and the staff said they close at 10pm ( so I think their last order is at 10pm but their restaurant close at 11pm or so. Well, you better change the time in your brochure tho cs normally people don’t use your restaurant at that time either as known its a “room service” ) ||||Then I order room service in my next stay, it was so great! Again “cheap” but gold. I told the staff to charge the food in my room bill (due to they asked for deposit payment upon check in) and she said okay, so I can enjoy their food and service. The next morning I order the same menu for my breaky, then do the same thing. Charge the payment to my room, the server said okay. BUT not so long after that a staff with a bill asked me for the payment ( I thought she came for my sign as I order the food so they have proof for their room bills record ) then I told her to just charge as last time to my room cs today I’ll do the check out anyway, then she said okay. I enjoyed my food but think about how they handle their management not consistently and still fine with it, maybe its a miss communication between them. When I check out, the receptionist cut my deposit for my room service this morning and I told her that she also need to cut more for my last night room service, then she confirm to the kitchen staff about my last night order. Walk out the hotel thinking ( how can they not manage their communication? Dont they have over handle or log book in every shift? How if the guest forgot to tell them so it will be their “lost bill”. ) Oke still fine with that, nvm. ||||The next staycation, I came on time and they check me in on time. Not sure if they change my bedsheet or not cs it looks not fresh, lots of ants too, forgot to replace the green and white shampoo and soap, forgot to take out the old guest water bottle, forgot to clean the kettle. Well am okay maybe they are having high occupancy today. Am a hungry person, came just to sleep and eat lol. So try to order room service again but they said their out of chicken so I order from Go-Food. I called the receptionist for my shampoo and soap but didn’t mention the water, when the housekeeper came he gave me the shampoo and soap then gave him the old guest water bottle and you know what? “He is the Golden” why? He came back with 2 bottles of water so we have 4 in our rooms. What a compliment, he knew how to give a service in this hospitality industry. HOPE I REMEMBER YOUR NAME 💔 YOU ARE AMAZING AM TOUCHED!! this hotel not just can give you cheap staycation but also have excellent service ( from good impression to golden impression ) ||||Since that I decided to came here at least once a week. I don’t care their maintenance or their goods in this covid world situation so I will not complain for that. We all know its not easy for a business to still stay, more to hospitality and tourism while all the tourists cant come in like it used to but still need to pay salaries to keep lots of people breathing, so its acceptable. As long as I can enjoy their good service am happy, so I thank God for my every short escape here. I can have food easily, good sleep and they serve me best! ||||Well, then I extended my stay that day but I asked them to move me. I think they moved me to 401 and that best room so far am here ( no licking air con, no licking toilet, no licking shower, stable water heater, smoking room, new bed sheet as requested, available food yey) best! Have no problem till I check out, the receptionist notice my billing and cut my deposit directly, so I think they fix their communication. Yeyyyy!! ||||||Next stay, I checked in but I think she is a trainee in a white uniform ( you better bring a pen in your pocket one perpeson, so its not gonna make your guest wait so long for the check-in process) am okay still, she is learning. Then I order food but they out of stock, so the next morning I order again for breaky. My first time trying ayam geprek ( heck, its not like ayam geprek at all came with all the chopped of onions and chilies not even “digeprek” really different as their pic ) and order ayam penyet also as usual but this time the chili’s have different texture and taste ( you better follow the SOP tho ) can’t finish the food this time, sorry food but you both taste weird. Till check out the bill automatically cut from deposit. Great service for that long hair with bun receptionist. ||||And tadaaa, today is my very very IMPRESSED-moment from “good - GOLDEN by HK dept service to OK (nahh its worse service ever) why? Guest what? Won’t put all the goods as problem before but fix this from your impolite service. This time I got a room with again not fresh sheets, there’s a gap in their sheets (inside out), towels thats just like a mat, licking toilet, water mark wall, etc. BUT what very pissed me off is THE SERVICE from a reception guy named Yudi, its so impolite. ||||I ordered food as I used to and two girls one with a bill and the server came. Am taking ma food and one asked me for payment, I said just charge it to my deposit and she said can’t cs they wanna do a closing shift, even when I said I have no cash she will bring me an EDC machine and I said just charge it to my deposit am check out tomorrow anyway just lemme eat ma food am hungry tho its 10pm why so complicated? , my deposit is more than the food cost so whats the big deal? Then she said okay she will tell the receptionist. ||||While am opening my food, I got a call. I thought its from the kitchen cause its has no manner he just called me and said ||“ good evening, for your food can’t charge from deposit “ - “ selamat malam, untuk makanannya ga bisa charge dari deposit” then I asked him “why? Its not my first time with the girl front office and no trouble at all” - “ kenapa? Saya biasanya juga gini sm mbak mbak FO pas checkout ntr di potong gaada masalah” then he said “ I will ask first “ - “ saya tanyakan dulu “ ||||So I continue to open the food and when I want to PUT it to my mouth the phone rings, so I take it and here you go again he said, after his confirmation with her girl receptionist named mega it can’t work like that cause the deposit its for the key not food so he will send someone to my room and bring the EDC machine for the payment. Then I said, ok send then, after you called impolitely without greeting and he cut my words before am finish talk to him by saying “not greeting what? I said selamat malam already “||||YO! Don’t you know what hotelier do? We sell our SERVICE! If you make someone feel inconvenient by what you do JUST KEEP QUIET AND SAY YOUR SORRY if you won’t learn then just listen its a consequence facing problem. Don’t complain or convince guest what you did right just feel sorry and learn the manners. Why should I tell you how to do conversation in a phone ? I told you if you call someone greet them not just by saying “ selamat malam “ BUT ALSO tell your position and tell your guest your sorry by bothering their time. Here “ halo, good evening SIR/MADAM. Am sorry to BOTHER you, am YUDI from the reception would like to confirm that you just order food from our restaurant right? I would like to let you know if the payment can’t be process using the deposit cause of bla bla bla” - “ halo, selamat malam PAK/BU. Maaf menggangu waktunya, saya YUDI dari resepsion mau konfirmasi tadi ada order room service ya pak/bu? Maaf ni mau konfrimasi aja untuk pembayaran seperti belum bisa menggunakan deposit, karena deposit untuk kunci bukan room service bla bla bla” ||||terlepas mau konfirmasi ke mega kek ke spv kek ke manager kek paling tidak ya etika berbicara nya tu di jaga. Sesuaikan sm situasi dan keadaan. ||||And fyi : since the check in every time am here they never mention that the deposit is for the “KEY” we don’t even have key spare either. And the deposit receipt is just and always written for deposit (could be everything right? And as the experiences it could be for the food too) this time its written “DP Kamar 423” either its deposit payment 423 or down payment 423. No clue. Read moreWe couldn't get a hotel due to our last minutes decision to visit during CNY and have resorted to booking a tour package tour that ferry and rooms included. We didn't expect to be a budget hotel for the relatively high package price though. ||We have 2 rooms, the bathroom door and shower head in one of the room was spoiled, had to call multiple times for a roll of toilet paper. On the second night, the hotel ran out TOWELS and we have to call several times until finally one could speak English told us that they have sent the towels for washing hence, the entire hotel has no more towel at the moment. ||Can't complains though, since it is a budget hotel, it is the massage centre that put the hotel to shame. The signboard indicated 180 000 IDR per hour but the woman at the counter demanded 200,000 which we were okay for it. It was 9pm and instead of 1 hour of massage, the masseuse left me waiting inside the stinky room for exactly 20 minutes while she eats outside, then 5 minutes into rubbing oil onto my leg, she went out to attend to walk-in customers, came back again and completely forgotten about that leg and rub oil to the other. There wasn't any massage, just putting to the body, chatting to the masseuse attending to my husband, going out to attend to walk-in and said it is done and walked off at 9.40pm! Read moreGood location in Bengkong area, near to lots of entertainment, F&B outlets like coffee shops, eateries, dessert shops. Room is spacious but a little worn-out as is some of the furniture. In the room, one could hear a bit of dj/club music & sound till way past midnight, but it was ok for me (but sound-sensitive sleeper may take note). Bed is comfortable for me. TV signal ok with limited channels, about 6 local & 6 Singapore free-to-air channels. WiFi is unstable though. Semi-partitioned shower. Good water pressure. Cleanliness is acceptable. Most importantly, no cigarette smoke & sewage smell in room. However, smoking seems to be allowed in the lobby so it may be filled with very strong ciggy smell. Some areas can be improved as surfaces were dusty & toilet roll was not replenished when I checked in. Maintenance can also be improved as the wash basin's tap is loose (although still usable), clogged shower drainage as water takes long time to drain away, water seeping under wash basin causing toilet area to be wet, some slight aircon water drip. Only oral kit provided. Guests need to get own shower gel, shampoo. Checking in/out is quite fast. BUT minus point for me is that the hotel doesn't provide guests the option to leave their luggages temporarily at front desk area. All other Batam hotels I have stayed at, have allowed this small gesture. Overall I had good rest here.
