RedDoorz Plus near DC Mall Batam — Hotel in Batam City

Very good for people on budget and shoe string expenses, can get a descent big room for 15S$ a night. Toiletries and towels are provided along with complimentary water bottles. Also known locally as "S Hotel" now under brand name RedDoorz. Though some of the room on lower floor might smell due to a sewer running under the hotel, just turn on the exhaust, but rest all is fine. Staff is very co-operative. Use google translate to communicate.

Hotel has no restaurant or food service. Can order foods from GoJek or other shops/coffee-shops/food-court nearby. 24x7 convenience stores at 50mtrs.

Hotel is clean and safe.Staff is very helpful and listens to every complains and do their best. They will help you out a lot if you ask for directions or paces to go around but you always have google.The top floor is a good place to relax as its cool and windy throughout the day. it has a small waterfall and it looks amazing.

Overall no complaints, to stay for longer periods i will suggest this hotel very much.

If you want to book a budget hotel, my advised don't consider this hotel, even your tight budget or just for a day stay, you will definitely regret. The hotel outlook is not old or torn, only the room hygiene is terrible horrible, unless the front desk staff allow you to choose or exchange the room anytime. The hotel should have about 48 rooms with only 01 receptionist and one very young new male housekeeper, both are very friendly and helpful. I checked in view 03 rooms and only managed to satisfy with one room. The location walking distance to DC mall about 5minutes, opposite the hotel has a lot of food stalls, especially the satay delicious and the coconut stall worth a try and the rest below par. Staff is friendly, had the big room but my aircon was not cold...was told that it is full and only can be changed the next day. Good service. Place not for family with kids or cant sleep due to noise. The hotel smells like its a smoking hotel and not for non smokers unless you dont mind the smell. NEar a wholesale center and also there are foods stalls around....
