hotel primadini — Hotel in Bukittinggi

The one good thing is the location. On top of the hill with very nice views of the Singalong Volcano for some Standard rooms. The less good: it is a square block, no lift.||The deluxe rooms RP 375 000 have air -conditioned but they are downstairs facing a wall. Further the curtains do not stop the light from coming in and at the back of the rooms there is a window above the door which lets the corridor light in... There are insectes crawling on the floor. The shower has no curtain and it takes literally 10 minutes for the water to be warm. As i anther during Ramadan, they bring you breakfast in the room.... which would be nice if it were not at 7am ! One staff speaks an OK english but he is not at the reception. I just visited the Grand Kartini Hotel 100m away. It is way nicer looking + the common areas and the rooms ( slightly smaller than Prima Dini's) are super clean for the same price ( Deluxe with AC at Rp 350 000). No need to ask where i'll stay...

The only plus side of this hotel is the location. Very near to Jam Gadang and Pasar Ateh, only 5 mins walk. ||The receptionist is in 2nd floor and the deluxe rooms is below it (ground floor). The hotel provide no elevator so mind the elders and your baggages. ||The room facilities is basic and no wifi in the room. Sadly our cellphones couldn't get a good signal too (edge/E). The breakfast is standard but taste good. The funny thing is all of us had to go to the bathroom in an hour or two. They occasionally sent us free...

Nice staffs, simple breakfast. Hotel rooms are very basic without air conditioner. Bukittinggi WAS cold at night but not anymore. Ordered an extra bed for me and it was rock hard and very uncomfortable. Booked this hotel from travel site a day before, didn't know there were loads of steps to reach my room (and every room). Bukittinggi is the place to shop, I came here with my 68 years old parents carrying heavy bags and might not come back unless they build...
