RedDoorz Plus @ Cideng Barat — Hotel in Jakarta

My girlfriend and I only stayed here on a one night stopover, as we were heading in elsewhere in Indonesia the next day.||Everything was fine apart from the water from the shower and tap. When we turned the shower on, all of a sudden there was a weird smell, I can only describe as like sewerage. The water from the tap also had a bad smell when running and a slight yellow colour to it.||This was a shame, as everything else was fine. Bed was comfy, room was clean and modern, air con worked great, it was quiet on the higher floor - BUT the water is a major issue. ||We were OK to skip a shower for one night and only use bottled water to brush our teeth, but for anyone staying longer than one night I would avoid. We didn’t say anything as we were only there one night and assumed the water will likely be the same throughout the place anyway.||I’m not sure if it’s just an issue with the City itself in that area, or whether there is a dodgy system in just the hotel, but either way they need to try and fix it if possible. Please read guys!!! |When checked in i got bad experienced from the owner, her name is Susi.|During check in actually smooth, but old women wearing piyama (dress for sleep) came and interrupt the conversation between me and receptionist.|Very rude since she need deposit IDR 100.000 and mentioned she is an expert in hospitality industry. |Even 5 star hotel as long as room paid, and everything will be fine with cash basis.|And for guarantee their hold my ID, then its fair enough tho. |Very very unacceptable, she was yelling and mentioned many times she an expert. PROs the front desk lady was very nice & kind thank God the bedroom was not as small as I first thought, even the shower room didn't make me feeling trapped inside

CONs I asked for the room with the good WiFi connection and never thought that I would get a windowless room WiFi connection did not work at all during my stay

TIPs book the room via Agoda can be way cheaper rather than by RedDoorz app itself if you're feeling a bit claustrophobic, ask for the room...
