9 GRAMS — Restaurant in Jakarta

Intentionally going visit my cousin that live around central jakarta near gambir-mangga besar but I need to step by for gettin a caffeine doses so I browsed coffee place near me and the top 1 & 2 of the list were starbucks and maxx, which I was so freakin bored with those two, so I strolled around and I saw a pretty high building, so I considerin to visit this place and turns out it has a very pretty inside area. I was ordered a beer and a coffee, almost all beer are ready, the staffs also offered me the happy hour promo even I went here about 19 PM where the happy hour almost ended. Feelin a bit hungry so I ordered nasi goreng sambal hijau, the staff asked me for some customizing like I can request the spicy, the eggs, wow... which means theyre extra prepared for ready allowing customizations. The coffee and beer even the foods came under 15 minutes, IT WAS SO QUICK. thankyou for your great speed of service though! I appreciate it a lot. Found this coffee shop while accompany my daughter to exercise near here and I love their coffee, Kopi Manja and 9grams coffee. 9 grams coffee is an ice cube coffee with pouring milk, you should try this one when visit 9 grams. For food, since we become a regular in here, all of the food that we order was great, but taste wise, some food need to be improved.

In my preference, the Korean Chicken a lil bit bland. It will be great if the chef consider to marinate the chicken before coat it with flour. The other is bitterballen, I don’t know why, but I can feel that the bitterballen is already not fresh.

Had quite an unpleasant experience coming to this cafe for the first time. I came when the place is reserved for a party, ( i supposed only the indoor seating?) but weirdly they still choose to accept some customers. The situations are, of course, very awkward to me and very uncomfortable. It could be avoided if they asked us when we first entered and notify us of the situations, yet they just let us in knowing sitting in any seat is not possible because they are all reserved. Even after finding seats in outside area, it is still highly uncomfortable because it is so hot outside.
