Good for 1-2 night stay. Not recommended for longer than that. I stayed for 11 nights & regretted that decision after 2nd day & itâs NON-REFUNDABLE. I ended up finishing my stay for torturous 11 nights then moved to Blue Earth Village (beautiful place super recommend with lush plants, swimming pool & happy animals around) for another 7 nights.
The room is located next to the big road & itâs insanely noisy. Neighbours keep playing party music out loud until dawn. The AC is put to directly blow the bed which triggered my sinuses (resulting in me having to postpone & reschedule my diving). But at the same time itâs almost impossible to live in Bali with no AC because of the heat & humidity. There were so many mosquitos that I couldnât sleep well (mosquitos net had no use) & no repellent. I had to especially ask the staff to spray repellent when they clean.
Yes there are windows but as the room is not private, I never felt comfortable to let the curtain opened. Or else Iâll be looking like fish in aquarium with many people passing by & always take a peek. My room window is facing directly with where the staff rest (lying down, sleeping etc) it feels super uncomfortable leaving the curtain open if Iâm inside. Definitely not good in longer term as no healthy natural sunlight coming in (even without curtain closed, not much of sunlight entering as itâs cramped amongst buildings). The terrace is no use either because again, itâs so closed to where people at I donât feel comfortable sitting there exposing myself.
Garden & a lot of things inside the room really needs proper maintenance (broken glass window, etc). No water or fridge provided. No proper parking space. I had to squeeze my motorbike in the most random & small empty land. Very inconvenient & troublesome to park & leave. Wifi inside room is almost non-existent & itâs frustrating as I need to work too. I had to use my own phone internet.
The neighbourhood & location itself is plus minus. Super convenient as itâs closed to cafes, shops, restaurants. Can be frustrating because itâs crazy loud, neighbours keep staring etc. Itâs located right in front of the beach but itâs not too clean. Breakfast is basic but quite filling with fruits, juice, choice of egg/pancake.
The only good thing about this place is only the bathtub. But definitely not worth compared to all the cons. One of the most disappointing experiences ever. Paying almost 5 million rupiah for this.. wasted my money & precious...
Read moreWe stayed for 5 nights at the putra lebah guest house and had a really good time. If you stay there I recommend choosing one of the slightly more expensive rooms that are facing the beach - it's worth it. The rooms were clean, spacious, air con was working fine and did not annoy (I.e. it wasn't loud and it didn't blow right in your face). Our room had a tv that pretty much had every channel under the sun. Shower was very good, no issue with hot water. The only thing the room was missing was a safety box. Another downside was that sleeping in was pretty much impossible as the room is quite bright (white curtains), there are about 7 roosters about that start early in the morning (which is probably the same in the whole of amed) and if that didn't wake you up, staff started brushing the floor outside everyday at around 7. It wasn't an issue for us as we had stuff planned each day and had to get up anyway. The owners are very nice and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was a bit on the weak side but I liked the banana pancakes. They do have a fridge, so you can go and buy some supplies and store them in there, e.g. milk for cereals. They do have some snorkeling equipment but it's not well maintained - it's better just to hire some from one of the many dive schools around (about 30000idr per day). You can go swimming right in front of the guesthouse but if you want to snorkel it's better to walk a few minutes down the beach on the right hand side where the coral reef starts. Jemeluk bay is a pleasant 15min walk down the beach. Would definitely...
Read moreWE are seniors from Canada, and have travelled often every year to many places ,but our stay at Putra Lebah was the best holiday ever. WE stayed for seven weeks, we had planned to travel else where but loved it there , so extented our stay. All that time the family and staffs attitude never changed towards us, they were always so caring, kind and helpful, with a big smile . They also gave us all the privacy we would want during that time. Koman speaks very good English and full of any kind of informtion about activities and what to do in Bali. They have a vehicle now so will take you anywhere you would like to go, but never try to urge you to go on tours. Our breakfast was always delicious and satifying, and if she cooked a dinner for us , it was the best. The room was lovely and spotless, she even irons the sheets, also the grounds and beach were cleaned every day. The garden nice and they have three new temples . THe view is wonderful, and so nice to see the activities of the village and fishermen coming in,while having breakfast facing the ocean and on the beach, and also to feel their wonderful culture while being there. The peaceful location is perfect to have a walk to other restruants, go into the village and to go out and have some great snorkeling,. WE went out one morning with their neat fishing boat at 5;30 am , and it was amazing to see the moon go down and then the sunrise while out on the ocean . WE just felt so well taken care of, safe, and they were so honest. Our dream is to return next year to Bali and stay at...
