Harmony Guest House — Hotel in Kecamatan Manggis

on my way from bali to gili air i needed a nice, budget-friendly room for one night close to the harbour. this place ticked all the boxes! the location is excellent, just a 2-3 minute walk to the fast boat harbour, my room on the top floor was spacious, clean and comfortable and the large outdoor seating area very pleasant and offering a beautiful partial view of the sea in the front and the lush hill slopes to my right. there, i enjoyed my evening readings and my simple but tasty and nourishing breakfast in the morning. the people who run this place are the kindest, friendliest and most helpful! they organised my transportation - first, the pleasant pickup and drive from where i had been in bali to the guesthouse and then my return fast boat ticket to gili air. in the morning, they even did the check-in with the boat company on my behalf and had one of their staff accompany me to the harbour with the umbrella as it was raining heavily. i have nothing but immense respect and gratitude for the harmony guesthouse team! if you need a clean, comfortable, value-for-money room in padangbai, this is the place for you! i’m sure i’d be back. once again, many thanks,...

We've travelled quite a bit in Bali. We didn't like the vibe in Padangbai. Our impression was that tourists stay here only for a very short period of time, until their ferry departs. Compared to other parts of Bali we experienced people as pushy and the staff at the hotel wasn't any different (eventually we even became annoyed by it and that never happened before).||The hostess seemed very determined to take her cut and even intervened when we wanted to share a cab with friends. Although you cant expect a lot for that price, we didn't even get new toilet paper and when we asked there was none. The rooms were what you can expect for that amount of money.||We decided to leave early. Agter our departure and without talking to us first, the guesthouse adjusted the booking via booking.com, which resulted in a lower price. Because we paid cash, we decided to contact them and ask about this. They came up with a strange story and told us we would not get any money back due to hotel regulations. Because we left early, we were fine with that. We were not fine with adjusting the price, so they had to pay less to booking.com, without consulting...

DO NOT STAY HERE. (1) Pricing is a lie, they state 130k for 1-night without breakfast, has WiFi, has AC, not true. (2) NO WiFi, even though advertised as “free WiFi” and is a lie, they provided 2 WiFi passwords of the hotel next door, passwords didn’t work at all. (3) They mention AC on profile, also a lie, they charge 20k extra for room with AC vs Fan-only. (4) They listed “accepts credit cards, Mastercard and Visa,” this is a lie, they only accept cash (not a big deal, but still another lie). Room’s walls were dirty, paint chipped, walls cracked, window is next to a main street and is super loud, small bathroom, no other place has stated no WiFi due to covid. They gave 50k refund for all these lies, still would never have stayed here at all if they didn’t lie and it’s already too late at night to find new place. They did help with arrange round trip boat tickets to Gili T for 600k each ticket, this the only positive for convenience. NEVER STAY HERE, do yourself a favor and go...
