Cemara Hills Uluwatu, The Reserve - Cottages & Villas — Hotel in Kuta Selatan

It’s not easy to find a place I really like around Uluwatu, but I found Cemara Hills by chance and decided to book it. When I arrived, I realized it was even more beautiful than the pictures. The pool with a view of the sunset and ocean was especially amazing.

The room was spacious, and having Netflix and YouTube made it really comfortable. The bathroom doesn’t have a ceiling, so it felt more open and natural than I expected — but my friend and I were okay with it.

The staff were very helpful. Whenever we ordered food or laundry, they kindly brought it to our room. It’s not a luxury hotel with professional service, but the staff were warm and friendly, which made a big difference.

The place is a bit deep inside the area, but it only takes around 15 minutes by taxi to get to the main spots in Uluwatu.

Overall, I had a great stay at a reasonable price. I’d definitely come back next time...

I can not give only one star , because area inside was beautiful and some stuff was very friendly. Breakfast was horrible, no food there only club sandwich and very oily pasta. I found very dirty with mold pillow, very cheap quality,not comfortable at all, bed clothes were smelling humidity and like they forgot it in washing machine for long time. But after I complained they changed it. Shower and toilet outside plus wardrobe also outside which has mold and smell of mold, we did not use it and kept all our clothes in the luggages. Because of not delicious breakfast we needed to order grab every day and drive 800m to find breakfast. The road to restaurants or supermarkets not walkable at all, hungry angry street dogs around, Trash areas around and not possible to walk with stroller. Location was big surprise for us and don’t recommend it. Only I really enjoyed the pool and greenery around...

We stayed there a total of 7 nights and what shall we say, we had a incredible time at Cemara Hills in Uluwatu und recommend booking this hotel a 100%. The team is extremely welcoming, super friendly and makes you feel comfortable at their resort at all times - always striving to help you whenever needed. The rooms and the entire resort is so well looked after and very clean: the rooms are super comfortable (nice light concept, comfortable beds, super chic interior..) and their beautiful garden with pool is just an amazingly calming oasis to relax after a long day discovering the areas around Uluwatu. The location of cemara hills is perfect to discover the bukit peninsula and all the nice beaches around Uluwatu and Nusa dua as most beaches are within a distance of 10-20 minutes.
