Milk Espresso - Kuta Lombok — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Unfortunately, we have to give Milk & Espresso a negative rating. We ordered two coffees - they were really good - a fruit salad with coconut yoghurt and an avocado egg toast. After 15 minutes they said that they no longer had an avocado. Annoying but can happen, so I've re-selected. Then the food came, mine was all good, but the fruit salad came with no yogurt, so it was only fruits. As we ask they just said: yogurt is out. Had we known that before, we would have ordered something else. When we wanted to pay, it get really ugly - they demanded the full 55k for the fruit salad, even though we only got half of the meal we ordered!!! We said then that we only got part of the food and would pay only part of it. That would just be fair. Then the previously so friendly coworker went eye-twisting and outrageously smiling back to the cassa! Such a reaction is simply not ok! He came back and said he can go down 5k. 5k is a joke .. Finally, he went down to 45k - for a fruit salad .. That something goes out is not really bad, but you have to tell the guests before! If it does happen then you should be so friendly and adjust the price or something. The worst part was this outrageous way of the employee!! Something like that we have not experienced in 6 months Southeast Asia .. Thats why we can not recommend it!!! We also noticed that our neighbors happened the same: first it was said that the smoothies were all sold out, then they could order one, but this came without granola, as it was on the card. They were not told anything...

Nice interior and ambient Cafe/ Restaurant with good looking juices. Coffee was good and strong. It's a rather expensive joint tough. This is why expectations were a little bit higher. Also a good crowd of people seem to like this place. I decided for the Asian Coconut Salad for 100k Rp and my buddy went for the Angus burger. The service did a really good job and were super nice. The food was rather average. Burger bun was burned and wedges not cooked. Pattie good. Easy fix for the chef so that's not enough. Salad was average with small portion, not much crunch at all and soggy because really oily. For instance why not roast peanuts and coconut? Ate the whole thing cause I was hungry.
