OYO 1536 Jeri Homestay — Hotel in Lombok

An absolute dump. Bare rooms and a disgusting foul smelling bathroom with mould and rodents. Mouldy pillows and cheap bedding, fitted sheets that don't fit the mattress. No drain for the shower so the water pools and stays there for hours as it slowly seeps through the gaps in the tiles into what appears to be a gutter running under the floor, which explains the putrid smell. I went to shower this morning and a rat was running around I'm the puddle. The room comes with nothing, not even hand soap is provided, even if you ask at reception. There are huge gaps and holes in the bathroom walls where AC has been poorly retrofitted, so you can hear other people in the neighbouring bathrooms. Weird blue night lighting like a public bathroom light to stop people finding a vein to shoot up. The room looks like a student sharehouse bedroom when you're moving out, after you've taken everything but the bed. There is a tv wall bracket, but no tv like the photos. The manager tried to overcharge me on checkout, it was generous to give him any money at all. The only redeeming feature was the surprising soundproofing against the mosque noise. The pool was somewhat ruined after watching a surfie loser spit in it while he washed himself and his surfboard...

The place is an absolute dive, we booked through Agoda as the photos looked clean, well presented and an excellent value for money, however after arriving and seeing the place for ourself they were an absolute scam. The room was grim, stains on all the linens, no TV like in the photos, these two things really don’t matter too much however the bathroom was just disgusting, the smell was unbearable, it had massive gaps to the outside, wires hanging out of walls ect.. overall an awful place and I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in there.

We gave them the chance to move our room but they responded with “sleep in there tonight and we might be able to move tomorrow” safe to say we left about an hour after we arrived and moved to an actual accommodation...

Don’t go there ! Reality is so different from pictures, it’s old and need a real repair, there is no breakfast when it’s included on internet. The equipment is about to break because they are rusty and old, there is no handle on the bathroom doors and especially no sink. My shower wasn’t working and instead of proposing to move to a new room, they just allowed me to take a shower in it and then go back to mine. You don’t wait for the customer to discover that it’s not working to change something old. The only good points are the location close to the center, the pool and the beds that are not too bad...
