Cheap Zone — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

FOUND ANTS IN MY FOOD 😭 Not able to write a second review of this place. Google wont let me so i edited my original post. This is now the 2nd time i have eaten here and i was definitely disappointed.

March 2024: I ordered the curry vegetables with chicken and rice. It tasted good and i was close to finishing when i found not one but 6-7 ants in my curry.

After I mentioned this to the worker he tried to play it off like there were no ants before until after i ate it.

No offer of a discount or anything even though there were ants in my food. I didn't see the ants till it was too late because they were hidden under the vegetables..

Will not be returning thats for sure. Very disappointed. Cheap zone is not the place to go! Regretting it…

The restaurant is far from the center, but the walk was worth it. The fish ordered was delicious, although the second portion was a little overcooked. The choice of side dishes for steaks could also be expanded, with more fresh vegetables as a side dish. Also, as a small piece of advice to the restaurant owner, since the restaurant advertises itself as a place to grill fresh fish, they could make the grilling visible to customers. This adds value and effectiveness to the food for customers, in addition to the fact that the aroma of the food would also spread to passers-by on the road, and therefore it would definitely get a show effect for a few customers. Been here for lunch in the 2nd day of my 3-day-stay in Kuta, and immediately back for dinner again on the same day. If I stay more, I'd definitely try every fish steak or any seafood they have to offer!

Environment: amazing place. Better at night.

Price: I think the place does live up to its name - cheap. Although not like very very cheap, but it's definitely cheaper than other restaurants. E.g. Tuna or Mahi Mahi Steak other places charge 130-150k, here's around 70k, iirc.

Food: I like all my dishes. Mahi Mahi Steak was amazing. Ayam Taliwang is nice, a bit undercook on the inside of the thigh. Dinner I had mix girll, nice as well.
