RedDoorz Plus @ Maricaya — Hotel in Makassar

I spent a week and half here because it was conveniently located 3mins away from my grandmothers house. Whilst the decor was appealing, the service friendly, and the beds comfortable, there were fair too many more negative traits about the hotel. ||||They were:||1. The most outrageously negative trait about this hotel is the way the floors are designed. We paid for a deluxe suite. It was located at the very end of a long L-shaped corridor. There was at least 10 other rooms between my room and where the stairs are located. My room, despite it being a deluxe, had no windows. Even the bathroom had no windows. All I could think about was that IF there had been a fire, and the start of that L-shaped corridor was aflame there would be ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to escape. I spent every single night praying for no fire. I cannot believe that a hotel would be designed this way...with no Emergency Exit plan for their guests. At the very least windows should have been there, but not even that. Their two floors of rooms are designed like this!||||2. There is smoking allowed in the foyer AND the elevator. Absolutely disgusting thing to walk into when you enter the hotel or going up to your room.||||3. Wifi DID NOT walk in our rooms. You had to be in the lobby for it to have a strong signal. ||||4. Hot water was limited. Some days there was plenty, some days not. That being said, there is no shower curtain in the shower - so water spashes everywhere making it wet and slippery. ||||5. Our toilet had a weak flush which means often things got left behind in the bowl!!!!||||6. Even if you put the 'Clean My Room' sign on your doorknob, they dont clean your room! You have to tell reception you want your room cleaned and hand in your room card.||||7. Parking is extremely limited outside.||||||I cannot comment on breakfast because I didnt ever try it. ||||If you ABSOLUTELY have to stay in this hotel, I would ask for a room close to the stairs to give yourself peace of mind that in the event of a fire, you can at least somewhat reach the stairs. ||||Not sure if I'd stay here again tho. Although the service was nice, I'd rather pay a bit more and get something with...

hotel ini butuh banyak perbaikan...||||dimulai dari lobby hotel yang masih menaruh beberapa sofa dengan design yang terkesan jaman dahulu...padahal lobby hotel cukup luas..mereka bisa kasih beberapa sode modern..||naik ke kamar..keluar lift saya menemukan ada beberapa piring bekas makanan dari kamar yang ditaruh di depan lift...(entah maksudnya apa??) tp kondisi ini saya pikir jorok.||beberapa kamar tidak mempunyai jendela..karena berada di tengah posisinya..serta sulit signal, biarpun ada wifi tapi kurang membantu.||di dalam kamar handuk mandi kualitas nya tidak begitu baik, disediakan sabun, tp tidak disediakan odol bahkan sikat gigi (untung saya selalu membawa peralatan mandi lengkap di dalam tas)||tv belum layar datar, dan beberapa kali siaran nya terganggu, entah karena signal atau provider televisi yang dipilih hotel kurang.||keesokan harinya saat akan check out, kebetulan saya tiba di hotel lebih 30 menit, jadi kamar sudah terkunci,..sehingga kartu untuk membuka pintu kamar tidak dapat digunakan, ||saya melapor ke front office untuk dibukakan..dan pihak hotel menemani untuk mengambil barang dengan kunci kartu lainnya, sayangnya kunci yang dibawa pihak hotel juga tidak dapat membuka kamar tersebut, sehingga saya harus kembali menunggu 15 menit di lorong kamar yang tidak berpendingin ruangan dan lembab.||||posisi hotel ini cukup jauh dari pantai losari, sehingga anda membutuhkan becak, atau taksi untuk berpergian, satu2nya nilai plus hotel ini adalah lokasinya berada di depan toko otak2 Ibu Elly yang terkenal...

Nice Budget Hotel for Backpacker. This hotel join with Airy Rooms so we get Free Mineral Water and Snacks from Airy Rooms. The Hotel location in town center so the acces to going anywhere is easy.
