Kyouchii — Restaurant in Makassar

Not a bad place to grab a quick bites in Makassar, considering the extreme warm weather nowadays.

The dessert is entertaining enough, not bad, but not great either. The sushi is pleasant to look, but nothing much to it. Tasted okay though, but once again not great. The sushi rice that Kyouchii used is definitely of a lower quality or doesn't taste right, for sushi.

Price-wise, decent, okay considering the nice ambience of the cafe.

The service, however, is SHOCKING. The staff who served was decent and kind enough, but the cashier is SO SHOCKINGLY HORRIBLE. No smile, not even a THANK YOU, with a very bad manner.

I highly recommend Kyouchii invests less in their unuseful cute decorations, and more on staff training, focus more on common courtesy which is generally taught in primary school.

This place is definitely unworthy to visit unless one just wants to avoid the heat. Even in that case, consider the bubble tea across...

Pretty chill place. I tried the salted egg pasta and it was great; the pasta is al dente and coated evenly. The sauce is perfectly balanced, not too thick but the flavor is there; nori bits, scallions and the red pepper balanced it out beautifully. Ordered the kyobomb dessert 3 for the dessert, which came way earlier than the mains, it was okay; a bit too sweet for my taste bud, but it was okay. Overall I'm quite satisfied, the desserts are quite pricey tho(well guess it's a common thing for a cafe). Sidenote: perhaps if the dessert can be served after the mains, that'll be great. Great design, just renovated. Yet server here doesn’t work well, as they are yelling at each other as a form of communicating. When we first got here, they didn’t give us the menu and cutlery, while the cutlery received in poor condition; wet and covered in dirt. Had us waited for the menu for a while and made us call them for the menu. There are also appear some bad smells. Overall good but they need to improve...
