RedDoorz near Balai Kota Malang — Hotel in Malang

It’s an old building with a character but honestly for the price, it’s fine. The location is prime close to a train station and easy walk anywhere in the centre. The room itself doesn’t look at all like the pictures on booking.com so it feels little bit like a scam but it’s definitely an interesting place to visit. It would definitely use some deep clean and reconstruction. Maybe getting new bed sheets as ours were quite stained. There were some strange features in our room as well like a door going to other room that can’t be closed or a main light switch behind a closet that it’s hard to reach. And a lot of random furniture that doesn’t make sense. Hot water and AC was working fine and the staff was really nice and helpful. WiFi is really fast and works perfectly. After reading all the comments to this hotel, we knew were we are going, so I was disappointed at all. The hotel is indeed an old building, but on it's own way I think is nice :) I gave five star for this hotel, as we had everything we needed for the price we paid. Big spacious room with good bed. The bathroom is old and looks a bit dirty but I have been at worse places before. The staff doesn't speak English but we managed it with a translator. I was in hurry while booking this hotel and hadn’t realised that I paid 4x more than for other accommodations of this level in Java. The actual name of this place is Splendid Inn.
