Mantra Villa Nusa Penida — Hotel in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

My wife and I recently stayed at Mantra Villa Nusa Penida, and we had a truly memorable experience. The property is brand new and features a unique outdoor bathroom, which added a charming and refreshing touch. Being right on the beach, we could swim anytime we wanted. The ocean water felt a little chilly at first, but after a few minutes, it was incredibly refreshing.

Each morning, we sipped our coffee while enjoying a breathtaking view of the mountains—it was an absolutely stunning way to start the day.

The staff were one of the biggest highlights of our stay. They were warm, helpful, and accommodating—from planning our breakfasts and arranging a driver to booking our ferry tickets and even biking our luggage to the dock when it was time to leave.

One thing to note: the villa was a bit tricky to reach on foot when we first arrived. We didn’t realize we could have called the staff for help, so we ended up hauling our suitcases by hand through the sand and narrow pathways. It took about 20 minutes by foot, which wasn’t ideal—but we later learned the staff would have gladly helped if we’d reached out.

If there’s one suggestion we’d make, it would be for the hotel to tidy up the beachfront area more regularly. There were some coral pieces and a bit of trash scattered around, and a quick morning cleanup would really enhance the beautiful setting.

All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Mantra Villa to anyone visiting...

We had a wonderful stay at Mantra Villas! We were welcomed by Puput who made our whole stay a breeze. She gave us lots of great recommendations and her warm personality made the place even better!

The rooms are comfortable with good air conditioning and a smart TV already signed into Netflix. The view is unbeatable! Be sure to set aside time to watch the sunset from your place.

The breakfast was just average but so nice to have the option of room service. The road leading up to it is more of a dirt path so be prepared to walk or ride a scooter. Don’t let this deter you though! We would 10/10 recommend!

PS: we did not think the beach front was dirty as some other...

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay here. Being able to walk 10 steps and have access to the ocean was really gorgeous, and the outside shower was really lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and using WhatsApp to contact them to request anything while we stayed made everything very easy. We didn't realise before we arrived that really we would need a scooter to get to other places, so definitely recommend that to others. The area outside of the villas does have quite a bit of rubbish, as other people have stated in their reviews - cleaning this up would definitely enhance the vibe. But overall we had a lovely...
