Day 7 and I've eaten here 4 evenings. Zero regrets. And I always leave with a happy, zen buzz. (The drinks help) The staff is overly nice, almost to a fault-- They say hello to everyone walking by, with no expectation of saying hello back. (Which is good, because more tourist rudely ignore them)
The food has been exceptional. I tend to lean towards raw food, and they were more than willing to answer all my questions. If youre wondering, they wash everything in pure water.
The drinks are just as good. Not overly strong, but I def walk out with a happy buzz. Be sure to visit between 4pm - 8pm for happy hour when all drinks are buy 1 get 1 free.
I could continue to gush on about this place, but you should really just visit for yourself! You won't regret it, promise- I'm highly critical of food establishments and this place has done it for me every....
Read moreSunny cafe penida is on the main road of Nusa Penida island near Bali, very near to the harbour. All around are the shacks and hotels, marts, Atms , small markets - quite busy spot. This is an open wall type two story cafe cum resto-bar, where you can enjoy homely kitchen style food with the hawaiian style seaside ambience. The menu has all options from starters to vegan, fast food to main course, pizza to desserts and drinks. Local Indonesian cuisine is also available with international options being more. Budget is middling. Drinks are around 15k-30k and the mains are around 55k-90k idr range. We had lychee crush at 25k, seafood basket at 55k & grilled/bbq pork ribs at 85k idr respectively. The tastes were standard restaurant type. Not exceptional but quite good. Service is decent but English language can be a bit challenging sometimes with the staff. I can...
Read moreFood was very average eating here as a vegan . The food was fresh but not amazing flavour / too subtle. We had to ask for soy sauce and pepper to enhance the taste. We had the vegan tacos , Pineapple tempeh with rice and asked for a vegetable nasi goreng without egg. Portion size was decent for the money . Staff were really nice and welcoming so can't fault customer service . We didn't like the ginger / lime tonic either and they changed this free of charge . The music was a bit trash to start off with too , very loud party vibes which isn't what you want in a restaurant. We were going to ask for it to be changed but they did put some more mellow music on which was fine. Overall okay but maybe not the best place to eat as a vegan . Oh and the toilet was quite bad , needed a good clean and smelt. Okay if you're a guy as you can stand up, but my wife...
