I first saw this place while driving by and t caught my eye because it was Organic and Vegan! I really wanted to love this place because of its atmosphere and that they provided healthier food on the island.
MY FIRST PROBLEM: came with the food, I ordered Fusilli Vegetarian, and it was horrible. The sauce had some kind of dairy, although it wasn’t mentioned in the ingredients and something was really weird about it (maybe an overripe vegetable?) even my friend had tomato sauce pasta and his was completely different.
MY SECOND PROBLEM: I then went up to reorder a Nasi Goreng (because maybe Italian food isn’t there thing?), while doing so, the German husband asks if anything is wrong. I politely tell him that the pasta has cheese or some sort of dairy, he automatically gets on the defensive and rudely says it doesn’t. I tell him that I don’t like, and that its fine, I’ll just order something else.
MY THIRD PROBLEM: The wife/chef comes over while I eat my Nasi Goreng(which was horrible too......and I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn’t do it for me) and asks if there is any problem. I say “I really don’t like the pasta, I’m sorry”, she was appalled and immediately became defensive saying that everyone liked it(well, clearly not) and took the plate and left.
MY FOURTH PROBLEM: They charged us for both meals, although I only ate one and told them I didn’t like it and when confronted as to why we were charged, they said every restaurant charges for both. My friend has worked in the restaurant business for many years and explained that it is in fact not the way it works. Neither would look us in the eye and neither gave a direct answer.
Now, while I was there, I overheard the wife getting frustrated with another couple because her ATM machine wasn’t working and the day before a couple came in and said they would come back to pay and never did. So she made the guy leave the girlfriend to go to the ATM (only 2 on the island and it was already dark) because she wasn’t going to allow them leave without paying (although if you know your ATM isn’t working, then you should write or notify with “Cash Only”). I’d like to believe the rudeness they put on my friend and I, was frustration towards losing money/having untrustworthy customers the prior day. I’m sure having another customer now tell you that your food is terrible, is probably going to make you redirect your unhappiness. I would have put 2-3 stars if it was just the food or just the rudeness, but its hard to even give them 1 star...
Read moreIf you want to have a good time, tasty good and cheap food, Organica IS NOT the place! My sister is throwing up at the moment, she had the pasta meal which was so oily. I had vegan curry, pretty basic for 65K... vegetable soup : ridiculous. there’s was few chunks of carrots and green beans in boiling water. Ice teas : way too sweet. But the WORST was the ambiance! When we asked the waitress (probably owner’s wife) questions, she answered so rudely and was so SASSY. Also, almost all the “vegan options” weren’t available. Such a WEIRD vibe! They were lookin at us the whole night like they were annoyed by us. Really EXPENSIVE (compared to Warung) for basic food and bad service. We wish we would went...

The first time I visited I was blown away by how clean and healthy the nasi goreng is. After eating so much poor quality nasi goreng, it was really nice to find a place cooking it with organic ingredients and high quality coconut oil.
The other thing that captured me was the care that Cindy puts into her food. She always tells me that she makes everything with love, and it shows.
Don't miss the opportunity to eat here, and make sure that you leave room for the best Black Rice Pudding that you will have in all...
