Grand Suka Hotel Pekanbaru — Hotel in Pekanbaru

For a "3" star hotel, this place is so bad. So not worth the price point. Here is the reason :

The room is kind of big and spacious which is good. But it is so old, everything looks like it has been there for at least 10 years. The wall even have pen drawing on it.

No hot water for the entire time we were there which is 4 days 3 night. We call receptionist for help and the technician came just to say that the heating device has broken down. No alternative, kinda want us to accept that it is just the way it is. And according to them there is no way that it will be fixable in short period of time. Also the toilet didnt have hair dryer.

We nearly ate a fly that was cooked on the food. It was so shocking for us to see that. The breakfast variant of food is so limited. And it took them a lot of time to refill when something is out. I don't know why is that, lack of staff probably? Since i only saw 1 or 2 staff in the restaurant area. For 3 days of breakfast there, the only thing changed was the chicken /main dish. Everything else kind of stay the same.

The fitness centre was a whole lot of letdown. There was only like 4 barbels and 3 equipment which is very very very old.

The card system keep resetting itself everyday even though we booked for 3 nights. It is very annoying since we have to get it renewed every morning. They told us it is because we placed it near our phone, but that is not the case at all.

I'm prepared to give one star but i will give another star for it's strategic location. But other than that. The whole hotel situation is just...

Stayed here for 8 days on business. The hotel itself has changed its name to Grand Suka Hotel formally Ibis. Service here is very bad. Rooms are not well service daily i.e coffee, creamer etc not replaced, no towels, not cleaned daily. Electronic locks do not work, I traveled up and down the 5th floor to reception 5 times because key did not work. When they have a large group of guests they tend to look after them rather than the other guests i.e Bar lounge closed for 5 days because large group wanted to use the area for classroom. Room service is provided but food arrives at your room cold and the serves are "kids" size only. On a positive note- breakfast is good with good choices and the staff...

Me and my Wife visited pekanbaru at July 2nd from jakarta. Best service I get is airport pick up at 9pm because i had night flight (it is not schedule pick up hotel so they give help for me this time). When I get room in 4th floor (that I remembered), I have spacious space and I like that. But for cleaning and bed, I felt not satisfied because not comfort and has stain in few things. Cause it still Ramadhan, Me and my Wife took "Sahur" at 4 am. I think food was not variative and also make me not satisfied for taste. So thats my opinion for one single night at Ibis Hotel Pekanbaru. I hope this opinion will be considered for further...
