ZENBU PEKANBARU — Restaurant in Pekanbaru

One of the obvious gem in pekanbaru and it never disappoint me. Located in Mal SKA Pekanbaru, this place serve japanese cuisine and it's adjoint restaurant BQ (beatrice quarters) serving fusion food (mainly western). Worrying about parking? If you're coming on weekdays, a lot of spaces available, weekend is a bit tricky since you need to come earlier to get space.

Upon entering the premise you can see that the adjointed restaurant give different feels. Zenbu give you modern japanese feels and BQ got the vibe of afternoon teatime. The staff been helpful as he cleaned the table by request and give us sometime to check the menu before ordering.

Me and my cousin ordered; Honey lemon tea (IDR 77.000) It's a little bit too sweet so we asked the staff to refill it will extra ice and water. Other than that no complain for the drinks.

Chicken teppanyaki (IDR 67.000) with 2 rice and 2 miso soup ( @IDR 20.000) the concept of teppanyaki is serving the food in hotplate and you mix it yourself so make sure not to touch the piping hot plate. It was filled with beansprout, mushroom, diced chicken, sunny side up (half cooked upon request), corn and lettuce. The seasonings was a bit salty for me since we were too thirsty even after we had the honey lemon tea. Miso soup tasted a bit too salty, to reduce it, make sure not to stir to mix the miso paste.

truffle mushroom soup with toast (IDR 27.000) one of my favourite dish / appetizer from this place. Most of my friends and family said this soup was bland and tasted weird. Eating this soup with dipping the toast in, give you the best feeling, i guarantee this one was the highlight for the restaurant, at least for me. seasonings was right and on the top of the soup got drizzle of olive oil to enhance the taste.

My experience coming to this restaurant was great! Sadly during fasting period it will be waiting game for you. They won't open until 5pm for dine in. Payment available is Credit/Debit card, gopay and ovo.

It serve a variety type of food from healthy, junkfood, sushi, steak etc. The service and the environment was great. The menu look so great and for the high price i tought it was equal with the flavour, the foot taste weird. I order chicken wing 4 pcs, salmon oliver platter, and brown sugar milk, the rice taste plain, salmon doesnt match with the sauce and mayo that they gave, the brown sugar milk was too sweet, and garlic honey wings taste weird. Excellent food, but the atmosphere in the mall is just ok. Modanyaki and Mozaru are the staple items for our family. Many Japanese fusion options including a nice cream soup with toast and better-than-expected sushi. The roaming singing robot is more annoying than helpful. Service can be slow at times, it seems the staff forgets people are there sometimes. I like this place for lunch meetings since it is not too busy...
