Mango Ubud Villa — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Mango Ubud is wonderful and would highly recommend staying at this location for the following reasons:

The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are helpful in answering all your queries and do their best to accommodate to your needs for example we requested for and they were able to source scooters for us. Another example is when we requested for an authentic stay in dinner, they were able to source a local chef to cook us authentic Balinese meal and curated the menu to our dietary requirements. If they are unsure about anything they will check and comeback to you promptly. Furthermore, they are easily contactable via phone or their front helpdesk.

The Villa have their own Café called Mango Ubud Cafe. The food is of good quality as it uses fresh ingredients and is flavorful. It is convenient since you don't have to go out far to get breakfast, lunch, dinner or even weekend brunch food.

The Villa itself is extremely spacious, modern and has been nicely maintained. We got our own private pool, rain shower, bath tub, nice view of the rice paddy field with a porch and seats to enjoy the clear night sky or early morning sunrises, kitchen, dinning table and television (access to Netflix and YouTube) with comfortable sofas and chairs. The location is good. Off the grid yet close enough. The Villa provides the easy option of never leaving and simply relaxing. We were already at the place and booked the room -verbal agreement still matters, right? Everything was going well and the nice manager was inputting our booking in the system when he informed us that the room was already booked online. The manager tried to tell the management that we were there first but the management wouldn’t budge. They practically were telling us that first come first serve despite the fact that we were already physically there! They also didn’t want to cancel the online booking, saying that they couldn’t do it, which we found ironic as we know for a fact that they could because we once booked from the same platform and got canceled minutes after we booked because the accommodation already took another walk-in booking.

We didn’t expect this kind of treatment and unsympathetic decision to be coming from such a well known hospitality management. So...
