If you’re in Ubud and need a cracking spot for lunch, Mango Cafe is an absolute gem. My partner and I are pretty picky eaters—it’s a bit of a shame, really. I don’t like being like this because I know most places put a lot of effort into their food, even if some miss the mark. Still, this habit makes finding somewhere we both enjoy a bit tricky. But Mango? They absolutely nailed it.
I had the bolognese, and it was spot on. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich, hearty, and packed with flavour. It hit all the right notes without feeling heavy. The waffle was a proper treat—light and crispy, topped with fresh black grapes, sweet banana, and a sprinkle of coconut flakes. Every bite was a perfect mix of flavours and textures.
To drink, I went for the passion fruit tea, which was so refreshing. It had the perfect balance of tangy and sweet—a real thirst-quencher on a warm day. My partner tried the coffee latte, and it was smooth, creamy, and just right.
Honestly, I was blown away by how consistently good everything was. For picky eaters like us, finding a spot that ticks all the boxes is rare, and Mango delivered. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and the cosy, welcoming atmosphere makes it a spot worth returning to.
I’m so impressed that I’ll be coming back every day during my stay in Ubud. If you’re around, Mango is a must-visit—it’s one of those places you’ll keep thinking about long after the...
Read moreThe place is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated with a relaxing vibe and lovely music.
Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the coffee. It tasted quite acidic and bitter, almost like it was burnt. We sent it back kindly, and the second one was slightly better but still not quite right. Of course, this is just my personal taste, and I’ve had much better coffee experiences across Bali.
With love and the best intentions, I’d suggest reviewing the coffee (maybe the beans, the pressure, or the machine’s cleaning process). The space is so beautiful that it’s a shame the coffee doesn’t match, it could easily be my ideal spot to work otherwise.
That said, the staff were truly lovely, warm, kind, and welcoming. A big thank you to...
Read moreThey advertise on Instagram that there's a breakfast promo between 7am and 11am with breakfasts for 49k. We visited the place at 10am, there was also a promo sign in front of the restaurant. We ordered two breakfasts. When paying, it turned out that there was no promotion applied. I asked the waitress whether these breakfasts are included in the promo and she said that there's no promo for them, without any more explanation. We were also not informed whether only some chosen positions are included in the promo or not when ordering. That sucks, as they advertise the promo everywhere, while it doesn't exist in reality. The food was average. On the positive side, the staff was nice and helpful. Nice view from...
