Overall great value for a stay in Canggu. If you don't care about the kitchen, gym, or high level of cleanliness, it should be more than comfortable.

Pros: Great location, 10-15min walk to the beach, close to everything. Gym use included. Spacious bedroom. Nice outdoor space and outdoor seating for each room. All staff were very nice and friendly. Far enough from traffic and major roads.

Cons: Cleanliness was lacking. Bathroom needs a good scrub all over, lots of build up of dirt and limescale. The doors, mirrors, or sink don't seem to get wiped down either. Kitchen is not adequate for daily cooking. When I counted, there were 2 mugs, 2 bowls, 2 forks, 1 spoon and 1 butter knife for ALL guests to share. Really just for basic coffee and noodles, don't expect to be able to cook full meals. Dishtowel on the counter was dirty and wasn't changed in our 3 week stay. Fridges are old and have a smell to them since they don't seem to get cleaned. Gym has too much equipment in a small space. We booked because we liked the gym, but barely used it since it's always busy...

Decent place to stay, value for money is okay. Cleanliness could be better.

The main room was spacious and mostly clean – except for the top of the wardrobe which has never been cleaned before. Since I’m pretty tall, I looked at a layer of dust, a broken mirror and an old toothpaste tube every day on top that wardrobe.

The bathroom was mostly clean too, except here, the two bath mats had a bunch of gross spots on them. The sink had thick lime deposits.

All of these flaws were nothing terrible. However in my opinion, cleanness should be a base attribute of all professional accommodations.

Other than that, and to end on a good note, this guest house is in a great location with a bunch of restaurants, shops, beaches and coworking spaces within 15 minutes of walking or 5 minutes of scootering. My check-in process was smooth and the staff seemed polite and helpful. The location is a little remote and requires a little walking to reach the guest house (unless you have a bike). The room was reasonably clean, large and spacious and had functional air conditioning.

However, all of this for naught because somehow the power in my room was out for about 6 hours in the one night I stayed at the place. This meant no internet, no air conditioning, and no plug sockets. To my surprise, the power was out only in a few rooms, while the others (and the rest of the locality) had it. This was a great inconvenience, as I was hoping to take a few important work related calls and had to end up rescheduling them. This was in the middle of the night and unfortunately there was no one I could speak to for this. Cannot recommend this...
