Very disappointing experience. They burned (black) my waffle, burned the mushrooms to the point that I couldnt eat them. I ordered eggs fried sunny side up and well done but they did the order wrong three times in a row- first bringing scrambled eggs, then runny uncooked sunny side up eggs, then last they brought the eggs back STILL runny. The only thing they didnt mess up was the water.. My food (waffles + eggs and bacon) were delivered 30 minutes apart (that was before I asked them to be cooked properly 3 times), so I couldn't eat my food together. My food arrived 10 minutes before my gf's food, so my meal was cold because I waited trying to be polite and eat together (my mistake I guess) and when her food arrived they put the food I ordered on her plate as if they expected us to eat an entire meal off one plate - so they took it back and returned 10 minutes later. Last, she ordered a FRESH fruit salad, which was covered with berries that were frozen solid, so we had to wait another 10 minutes for that them to melt so we could eat. When we mentioned the problems to management they said that we must have "scared the staff" and that was why the meal was completely wrong and the service is off -- so it was our fault that the food was burned, frozen, slow, and needed to be cooked three times. We were attempting to eat healthy which is why we chose Motion, but as stressful and annoying as the experience was McDonald's would have been healthier. I recommend skipping the restaurant unless you have all day to wait, are eating alone, and won't complain about undercooked/burnt food. And be careful not to "scare the staff" or any poorly cooked food or sub-par service will be YOUR fault. That seems like the most important point to remember. ...
Read moreThis used to be our favourite cafe. As soon as we returned to Bali we came back. The vibe has completely changed. The tables are so close together you may aswell just invite the people beside you into your conversation. And most importantly, the entire outdoor area (which used to be our favorite spot to sit), is now just full of people smoking cigarettes, which seems very ironic due to it being a health cafe.
The only reason I am leaving this message is because I was saddened to see somewhere along the line they lost their way and lost the energy they once had. Not sure if there is new owners but definitely felt like it.
The food quality was still good. My partner was pregnant and just surrounded by people smoking cigarettes in a health cafe. Yes, you can sit inside but it kind of feels like you are a sardine in a tin can. Sort it out guys, there are so many options in Canggu to be lacking like this. We just bounced to the next health food cafe and will not come back.
Only reason I’m posting this is because I had an emotional attachment to this place and I care. And let me make it very clear, the food was still excellent.
In Bali, it’s more than the food though. You need to tick boxes such as atmosphere, and most of all everyone needs to be warm and smiling when you walk in. Otherwise people will just go to the next place.
It’s a health cafe for god sake. Piss the cigarettes off to the alleyway or something, nobody needs to be washing their cigarettes down with a...
Read moreThis is my first bad review in Bali and the worse cafe experience in my life! I advise you to avoid this place!
It’s been more than a month of our holiday in Canggu and we didn’t see such rude staff anywhere else before. We came to this cafe to get breakfast, spend some money and to work for a while [because the cafe we like was closed] and this place turned out to be not just noisy, small and uncomfortable even for having just a coffee there — ‘the short lady’ who was working on 23st August between 11am–12pm was incredibly rude to us and treated us like we are some kind of teenagers that came to their cafe to sit for free.
After demanding that we gave up the spare space on our table, which we were clearly using to work and enjoy a breakfast together whilst working, leaving us with barely enough room for my small notebook and table water, never mind the breakfast we had ordered. Incredibly rude. We decided to leave and go elsewhere, where we could work and eat with sufficient space and without the drama of being forced to squish as many customers together like prunes to allow them to earn an extra buck or two. Consider looking after your customers and they will return to your cafe, don't treat them like cattle to squeeze every cent out of each chair.
I highly recommend to ignore this uncomfortable place to save your day [especially if there are many other places in Canggu with the same price rate but more polite and...
