🧿I don’t like giving 1 star ratings but I feel it’s needed in this case to help others. This hotel wasted our day by being decietful.
We always like to view the room before booking, so we checked price and availability on booking.com, saw that the room was available, and then drove 30 min to Spiri Kobot to view the room to book for the week. As we arrived we saw the room and (regretfully) mentioned we will be booking the room on booking.com.
They asked what we are paying on booking.com and the price was 685.ooo IDR. As we mentioned this, the reception called the owner and suddenly the price went up to 900.ooo per night IDR.
They literally went into booking.com and changed the prices right in front of our faces as we were getting ready to book. The price was not the problem for us, we stay at 5 star hotels and are not looking for a bargain, however, this treatment is ridiculous and felt scammy! so we decided not to book as we do not want to support this type of behavior. As we had left, we noticed they had brought the price down again to the original price. So, this is just a heads up to other travelers!!! if you wanna book a room at this shifty hotel, book it from booking.com and do not mention to the staff.
We found a very nice and clean place with absolutely wonderful costumer service right next door (Gefecon villa) which is a lot nicer, similar price range and u don’t run the risk of being ripped off...
Read moreI booked a deluxe king room for my honeymoon, expecting a beautiful and romantic stay. Unfortunately, my experience at (Puri Kobot in ubud) was far from what I had anticipated.||Upon arrival, I found the room to be completely different from the photos advertised online. When I inquired about this with the staff, they informed me that there are three categories of rooms and that the one I received was the lowest. I was disappointed but accepted their explanation, hoping they could provide a room that resembled the pictures. Unfortunately, they stated that no such room was available.||Feeling frustrated, I requested a refund. They agreed but mentioned that they would deduct the cost of one night, which was over 600K IDR. Reluctantly, I decided to stay for the night since it was raining and we were already settled. However, to my surprise, the staff insisted that I check out immediately instead.||When I expressed my dissatisfaction and mentioned I would leave a bad review, they responded indifferently, saying it was no problem. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes to get my money back, which only added to my frustration.||Overall, my experience at ( Puri Kobot in ubud) was extremely disappointing. Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at puri kobot for 6 nights. Very spacious and clean rooms, bathroom can do with some refurbishment/ painting. Lovely view from our room. Wonderful staff and service. Owner Sukma very kind lady. Juna very sweet staff who always had a smile on his face and was helpful with everything. ||We had issues with the ac that kept turning off after every few hours hence we had disturbed sleep at night. The technicians that came to check were unable to fix it and only on our last night was it fixed by the last technician who came. On our 4th night we were offered to change rooms due to ac issues since another room got vacant however we didn't change since we had settled in the room with our things and the bed was bigger. ||We are used to having a heavy breakfast and hence we bought our own bread since one piece of bread was not enough for us with 2 eggs and jam. Juna was kind enough to toast the extra bed for us daily.||We highly recommend Puri Kobot.
