Staffs are not wearing mask while cooking and serving food. Big health protocol failure. Tables were messy and not properly clean up. Open kitchen concept: I assume kitchen should be tidy and clean when it is exposed to customers. Here customers could see messy kitchen with lots of unwashed dishes, many stuffs stacked below and above kitchen drawer area. Food was ok. I orderes home made Udon, I was expecting a chewy udon and something unique. To my taste the udon was too hard and I was not sure whether it was supposed to be Cold Udon? Or Hot Udon? I just know 2 kind of Udon in Japan, whether it is Hot or Cold. This Udon was kinda Warm :). Maybe it was just me don't know this type of Udon. Owners was too busy chatting and socializing with other Japanese ladies community. Maybe this restaurant was meant for Japanese community, not really for common Ubudians. Or maybe just my impression.

I don't know what exactly i order, but this is a perfect place for drinking coffee or tea with real Japanese cakes, mochi and others. I tasted this mochi like dessert with coffee and it tasted soooo good.. not too sweet, just enough with black coffee or tea. Even the coffee is self-roasted by the Japanese owner, brewed by himself and served by himself. He sells the beans in package of 100gr too, but for a very limited stocks. My Japanese friends said that this place is owned by a Japanese wife that is very famous among Japanese wives for this bazaar. So if you are in bali at the moment, visit this place. They will alternately move to Jakarta n Bali every 3 months.

Japanese Wabisabi comfort food concept. Large bamboo structure in the centre with open kitchen and floor seating area. The centre is surrounded by Shala, garden, and small independent shops and art studio. The Sunday bazaar is a must go! Fresh produce of vegetables, fruits, honey and Fish! Yes, you heard me right freshly catch fish and octopus transported all the way from the shore by the spearfisherman and his wife. They would slice out the sashimi for you and eat on the spot. Authentic freshly made japanese mochi with strawberry inside, dorayaki and japanese bread. I found my self keep coming back for more. Truly a beautiful unique space in Ubud.
