First of all;: the tiramisu is really good! Don’t bother with other places in Ubud for tiramisu, but this one is 👌(for reference, I regularly spend time in Italy - but disclaimer: I am not Italian so Italians might disagree 😉)
The pizza is good! No complaints. It’s not Italy good, but also: why would it be. It’s still a very good pizza. And for those that like Hawaiian pizza: the pineapple is of course fresh and pineapple in Bali is wonderful.
Another day I tried the pumpkin ravioli with butter and sage as a takeout. Wonderful! The most amount of filling I’ve ever seen in a ravioli and a good portion size (no need for secondo).
As a bonus the deli sells food, wine and even some souvenirs. Perfect if you’re staying in Ubud a while, and if you just want to get something to bring home. I did not try the deli counter, but it looks like a good selection.
Unfortunately I also understand why this restaurant has had to write on their menu that parents keep an eye on their kids while in the restaurant (a little girl stomped up and down the stairs for the first 20 minutes of our visits - you wouldn’t believe a little child can sound so much but the restaurant is a has a mezzanine so everything is heard throughout the restaurant. At two other tables were teenagers playing various videos on their phones). Outside tables are...
Read morePizza was OK. Margherita which is the most basic one tasted a bit salty. Also the other pizza is not really that special.
Took a while for them to deliver our order. Probably around 30 - 45mins. But they were nice to give us complimentary snack. Our kids love this as they were waited too long for the pizza.
Spaghetty is kinda big portion. Too big for kids and adult. Unless you are very hungry. Also we ordered Carbonara and it felt a bit dry, not creamy. Maybe it is just their style.
Surroundings is very calm and nice. Good to eat on your own or with couple or with family.
During busy hours, make sure you call them first because sometimes you will not get a place to sit. Especially if you are more than 4 people.
Parking space is kinda big. So don't worry if you bring car here.
By the way, make sure you bring cash to this place as this is a cash only place. I know it sounds ridiculous in this kind of era with paperless payment, and also if you bring a family. But that is true, you need cash here. Luckily, ATM is only 2 mins walk to a nearby gas station. So, you will be allright.
Overall, the place is OK. I don't see anything special that makes me want to comeback agian...
Read moreWanted to try the pizza here because it had good reviews and was in the top 3 of best pizza restaurants in Ubud but it was a big disappointment. Ordered a pizza and a salad but had to wait 30 min + for serving whilst two guys who came in 15 min after us already got their order. Pizza was lukewarm and had minimal toppings, cheese and peperoni only covered the center of the pizza. Pizza dough was bland. The salad was just chopped of vegi and came with thousand island dressing which was so sweet it completely numbed the vegi taste. We also ordered two ice tea's with sugar but this was just chilled english breakfast tea with way too much sugar, basically sugar water. Price wise it's not very different from the other italian restaurants in the area, so not when people say it's cheaper they're probably reffering to the smaller size pizza even though the large is only...
