We are 2 buds travelling Bali for 3 weeks. ||Now we loved the lost cost of Repag so we weren’t expecting alot and we are used to hostels after our 3 weeks travelling Bali. ||I have been called a drama queen in the past, but let me tell you, this was not okay.||The room smelt horrendous and it was almost unbearable.. despite the glade air freshener going off every 5 mins. That bathroom was not the toilet to chill out and do your facebook scroll on, it was an in and out job for sure!||The bed felt incredibly damp.. to the point where we slept on beach towels. There was no duvet, simply just a sheet.. which quite frankly should have been used to cover the damp bed. ||The mosquitos were absolutely everywhere and we think this may be due to a hole in the bathroom wall. ||The curtains only cover the window and not the window above the door, so you’re woken by streaming light each morning! If this doesn’t wake you, then the building work next door at 9am will🙈 ||The ‘shared lounge’ is a table behind reception and the ‘shared kitchen’ is a water machine and kettle, also behind reception. ||The location is fine if you want to visit La Brisa for a drink, but that’s basically it. ||The only saving grace for this place, is the smiley reception lady.. if she hadn’t been so welcoming we would have kicked off!! Oh and the wifi worked so atleast we could look at everyone else’s insta and wish we were...
Read moreArrived for our first night in Bali. Checked in 3am and was demanded to go to go to the ATM wouldn’t let us pay in the morning despite it being this time of the morning and we had no idea where there even was an ATM. Minimal English is fine but when you’ve no manners is different. Then showed us to the room which he didn’t even help with our bags as there was about 5! After settling into the room we got knocked on twice after 3am . Once for towels and second time for water. Great to have these but we’re trying to sleep at this stage of the night! Then the next morning 10:50 get another knock reminding us check out is 11. Glad we only stayed one night because they were so unbelievably rude. Dismissed my boyfriend when he was trying to check out. Not a great welcome or impression for first...
Read moreMy partner and I usually stay in hostels, even very simple ones, but unfortunately this homestay didn’t meet our expectations.
When we arrived, there was a noticeable smell of dampness. The room overall didn’t feel very welcoming. The bathroom was VERY basic (in a negative way) and the sink (which is more like an old kitchen sink) was located in the bedroom instead of the bathroom. Both the sink and the surface next to it needed better cleaning. The blankets on the bed were also quite old.
Please note that payment is in cash (as indicated on Booking, but we hadn’t realized), so make sure to prepare in advance.
We paid but decided not to...
