I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY AT THIS PLACE I planned for a 3 weeks stay at Villa Sri dewi because I’m doing a yoga teacher training at the nearby Soul Yoga Bali. I got sick the first day after I arrived at this place, but this area is so humid and noisy all the time that it took me 2 weeks and I’m still not fully recovered. I never had a single night of good sleep since I arrived here, and every day during the day when I try to nap there is LOUD construction sound and motorbike sound every 15 minutes (see video) - apparently the room they gave me was right next to a trash dump. When I asked if I can change to another room after the first few days, they told me no it’s not possible. I also told them about the noise issue, they said they will tell their own employees to stop using the bike - but my room was literally next to a big trash dump (see video) and every day there’s a big bike to come pick up trash with EXTREMELY LOUD SOUND So I stayed for another week, hoping sound problem will get better. It did get better from 10pm until 6am, but every day after 6am there’s still bike going on. And construction starts around 8am After the second week I told the owner I have to leave. When I explained to him all the issues I experienced he was very polite and apologized, but when I asked for a refund he immediately changed his attitude and was very determined about not giving refund (I have 6 more days I paid for but haven’t stayed yet) Even after I offered to pay for 2.5 more days and just get 3 days of money, he still rejected and scolded me “DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND BUSINESS? A CONTRACT IS A CONTRACT” This place is 500k per night for my 22 day long term stay. This is my 4th time visiting Bali. Not only is this place the worst place I’ve stayed at (I’ve stayed at much nicer, quieter places with 300k), this is also the rudest and meanest owner I have met P.S.: it took me 20minutes to write this review, and all the video footage are taken DURING this footage (from 9am to 9:20am). This is how frequent you experience loud noise here in the morning Another thing besides loud noise is that there’s basically NO NATURAL LIGHT in the room. I already opened both window (can I even call them windows?) curtain and this is as much light you can get as possible at 9am in the morning I have traveled to more than 25 countries so far and lived across 5 star hotels and 1 star hostels, but this is honestly the worst experience I have ever had (mostly because of the owner’s attitude and scolding) Oh and this is quiet literally in the middle of nowhere, and every time you get a grab driver they also take 10min to find you because the google map navigation for this place is wrong

I only checked in yesterday and I have 10 more days, but I hope the masses of tourists don’t discover this area too soon and destroy its beauty. Hidden away in miles of rice paddys, on raised roads only big enough for a golf buggy or motorbikes are villas, resultants and gorgeous scenery. I encourage anyone who wants to be in the centre of Ubud to go stay there, but if you want nature, peace and quiet, and areas to explore this is where you should stay. The price of the villa is great, and it’s recently built and has everything you need. I’m in Villa 3 which has lush gardens, a beautiful pool and is picture perfect everywhere you look. I’ve stayed in similar in Thailand and paid upwards of four or five times the price. The villas have a little bar and cafe but there’s also plenty of others nearby if you care to explore. I suggest going for an early morning walk to take in the area. Locals and tourists alike are doing the same before the heat of the day and it’s just magical. Staff are responsive and attentive via WhatsApp and you can order to your Villa. There’s basic cooking facilities if you want in a cute outdoor kitchen, but why would you when a meal and drink is so cheap. There’s also a yoga studio next to the villa I’m going to try Monday. Can’t speak highly enough of everything so far.

Not well maintained and cleaned. There is no professional to operate it. They have a private pool without privacy. Near to the walls behind the pool there is a multi storied building. 4 wheelers can't reach there. Only reach them by two wheeler or on foots.. There restaurant is not working. There breakfast was bad and very cold. They served floating break fast in a floating tray with cingarate ashes and rotten flowers

Where to start...

When we arrived in the Villa everything seemed good, until we saw the vaspnest and specially the constructions next to our Villa. The staff moved us to another Villa after two nights (saying there was no availability eventhough we saw free villas to book on booking) after we complained on the first day but the noise was still loud and clear. The workers were starting at 8h30 and finishing around 17h. The workers are also using the nature behind our window as toilets... If you are looking for quiet throughout the day, forget it...

Also we washed a few clothes and put them outside on the drying rack. Unfortunatly, the rack ruined all our clothes... when i asked the staff how i was supposed to repair my clothes (after trying multiple times to clean it myself), they just told me to go and get them washed in a washing machine and pay for it. The washing machine was probably a good solution, but we would have appreciate if they would have paid for it, since it was their rack that was the problem.

The rooms are nice, the pool is clean, and there is a kitchen. It is small and has almost nothing to cook and was kind of dirty. Nevertheless the privacy is really nice. Hot water in the shower, with lots of pressure 😁 Nice location, 10-15minutes from Ubud, so far from the noice but close enough to go there by bike. Close to two restaurants, walking.

The staff was nice but not really helpful since they just said sorry and did not try anyhing to compensate us or try to make our stay feel more...

This property is only accessible by buggy/golf cart or two-wheelers. Guests arriving by car or taxi are completely dependent on the villa’s buggy service for transportation to and from a nearby parking lot.

On the day of checkout, my wife was feeling unwell, so we checked out slightly late—about 20 minutes past the 12 pm checkout time. To our surprise, the staff and manager suddenly became unhelpful and rude, refusing to drop us at the parking lot via buggy, claiming the buggy was "unserviceable." We believe this was a lie, as they simply didn’t want to assist us.

They then rudely told us to wait while they finished cleaning our room and would later drop us by scooter to the parking lot—an impractical solution, given we had six suitcases with us.

When we asked if they could arrange a buggy from nearby villas, they claimed they didn’t have their contact numbers, which is hard to believe. Instead of offering any help, they suggested we walk to the parking lot—about 15 minutes away, and even longer with luggage.

In the end, we had to our find the contacts and call the nearby Villas on our own for help. Finally, Good Day Villa kindly sent their buggy to help us.

To conclude, the overall pleasant stay of 4 nights we had at Sridewi villas was ruined by the rude and non-cooperative behavior of the manager/owner and staff...
