Warung Masakan Ibu — Restaurant in Bali

This is the best little mom and pop shop in Penestanan. I live here and I eat at this place two or three times per week. It's run by a young couple and they are doing it all right. Portion size is great, quality of food is great. It's cooked well. There is a nice variety if that's what you're into. I'm into Paket#3 with rendang and ayam kare. Congratulations for looking this place up. You've found the right place for lunch or supper (or both) ...

The portion is not huge but the price is also not huge. So I don't mind.

It's simple food; maybe you can get a little bit cheaper in a roadside warteg, but the seating, food display, and table ware is cleaner and better quality here.

Food tastes quite clean. I would've preferred more red in the red rice, but I would point out that the sambal matah is FANTASTIC, so I am ok with this trade-off.

This Warung is truly one of the best "Campur Style" in Ubud, or Bali for that matter. The food is always fresh, and you can tell it is cooked with love and care from their talented chef. The staff are always very friendly and good to talk to.

Given the great quality of food, the price is very affordable. Another great thing is when you order take away "Bunkus", they give it to you in a proper takeaway...
