Mana Earthly Paradise is just this-an Earthly Paradise. Truly. I feel so fortunate to have ‘stumbled upon‘ this gem when walking in the rice fields one afternoon and the vibrant energy called me back each day. The tranquil outdoor setting surrounded by the lush thriving nature and the delicious unique offerings served by the friendliest of smiles in Ubud became my home away from home. The Jackfruit Rendang, probiotic brown rice and Mana-made coconut ice cream continue to be some of my favourites! I kept coming back here because it is different from all of the other ‘hip’ spots in Ubud. It feels like a nature sanctuary. It is quiet and peaceful and real. Also, I had the pleasure of staying in Mana’s accommodations in April and had the best experience. The EarthBag structure and space was visually and spatially aesthetically-pleasing, quiet and bright and the yoga/meditation structure vaulted about the coy pond made for the most supportive early mornings and sunset evenings. Mana’s grounds are rich with happy flowers, huge Lotus blossoms and growing vegetables and fruits. Mana’s market store offers superb quality spices and natural body products along with other local heart-made offerings! It is the FIRST place I stop if I am needing anything because I trust Mana’s choices in what they stand by and want to support this an amazing place that gives back in so many ways. Mana truly cares about the environment. They grow much of their own organic and pure produce. I had the honour of getting to attend a farming workshop on the land in which one of Bali’s most revered growers came to check on and teach us about the plants here. He helped Mana get their garden growing and so they have learned by his master standards-the food is even smiling here:) Mana upholds utmost integrity to their morals, principals and intention. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to meet the lovely and humble woman and man behind Mana and they exude a passion for life and a healthy people and world. Mana Earthy Paradise is regenerative to life, both personally and universally and I am so appreciative to have this space and its offerings in my life. It is a heavenly haven living up to the lining of its name!

A Disappointing Culinary Rollercoaster with a Side of Stubborn Billing This place has a great ambiance and seems like it would be a good spot to work from, but unfortunately, the food is a complete gamble. The most egregious example was the gazpacho we ordered; it was so terrible we had to send it back not once, but twice. Even after two attempts, it was still inedible. The first time it was pure sugar, which is unusual for gazpacho (the staff ensured me it was palm sugar, so that made it better somehow). The second time it was pure vinegar and puréed tomato (as if a gastric ulcer is the intended punishment for sending food back!). Consistency is a major issue here – some days the food might be decent, but other times it's completely terrible, making it hard to recommend. It also seems like the menu descriptions don't always accurately reflect what you'll get. What truly left a sour taste, beyond the awful gazpacho, was the billing. Despite the terrible gazpacho being returned twice, they initially tried to charge for it. And to top it off, they insisted on charging for the croutons from a soup that was also sent back, simply because we had eaten a few. It's standard practice for a restaurant to remove items from the bill when they're inedible, but I had to request it be taken off, and even then, there was resistance from the service. This inflexibility and the overall sad service regarding the bill really overshadowed any positive aspects. While the atmosphere is pleasant, the wildly inconsistent food quality and the frustrating billing experience make it difficult to justify a return visit. This explained why it was completely empty on a Saturday night.

We were seated at a pretty uncomfortable table that was in the garden. I had to use double cushions to be able to get my body in the right position to eat. The cushions were also stained. Thats just not right. It made me feel a bit dirty. There also was a hole in the table. The umbrellas were disgusting. They were soiled and they had holes in them. Totally unacceptable for outdoor dining. It looks like they just didn’t wanna make any investment anymore in their establishment. I had the lunch special for a 98 rupiah it was just OK and I wouldn’t recommend it, the gazpacho was not fresh. The mushrooms were delicious. The salad was so small that I don’t understand why they even bother giving it to me. The chicken curry were parts of the chickens bodied drained in a curry sauce. It was really hard to eat it quite messy however, the curry sauce tasted very nice, I didn’t really care for the rice didn’t have much flavor and it was in the middle of the plate which was difficult to get around to eat. The waitress never came back after she serve me my lunch I had to go find her my friend ordered the banana pancakes, it was flavorless. It was mostly oatmeal with no flavor of the banana. I had the coconut cheesecake, which was delicious. Probably the best thin. there was a car park and an attendant to help you. It was very hot I sweated through the whole lunch. I have to say the bathrooms were probably the best ones in Bali because they were quite large and easy to access. I’m not going to return because I didn’t feel I really got any value for my money just because the place is hipster doesn’t guarantee that it’s going to be nice.
