Agogo Hotel — Hotel in Surabaya

Informed the staffs beforehand that I would like the 2 rooms to be adjacent to each other and the staff acknowledged. On the day of arrival they told me there’s no more room and we were given the 2 most extreme levels of room - Level 3 and Level 9. Level 3 room was terrible with bad drain smell, you can smell it right after the lift is opened. The room area behind the room door had quite a thick layer of dust and at least 4-5 strand of hairs. The room at level 9 on the other hand was clean however there’s no kettle in the room. I was informed the kettle was “out of stock” as the rooms were all occupied and they only allocated level 3 to 7 with kettles. I can’t eat my popmie, I need to travel to another room in level 3 to boil water and the kettle took more than 10 min to boil. The sound proofing in the room was bad, you can hear foot steps, luggage trolley noise, and people outside talking. The motorcycles engine noise can be heard too. The only good part is the location, however the Grand City Mall is like a dying mall, nothing much inside. Won’t stay again. There’s limit to number of devices connect to the wifi as well. E.g., room for 2 person you only allow to connect up to 2 devices. So if you have a phone and an iPad per person, you can’t get free wifi for both devices. Or else you need to “steal” other room’s wifi, that could be the cause from other reviews that people complained wifi was not working. Wifi speed is good enough for me to stream...

Excellent! Price is relatively higher than others, but it is compensated with the hotel's strategic location, room condition and room facilities.

Located just a stone's throw away from Gubeng [Lama] railway station. Within walking distance.

Receptionist [young male with glasses] was very nice and friendly when I checked in.

Room assigned to me was quite spacious, neat and clean. Various entertainment channels are available to choose from. Guests are free to self make tea and coffee. AC and hot shower works very well.

The only disavantage perhaps is the 300-K deposit, which is uncommonly high. But when the reception explained regarding this matter, it is understandable because the alarm system triggered by heat & smoke applies to the whole building. Hotelnya masih lumayan baru, jadi kondisi bangunan, fasilitas, dan interiornya juga masih bagus Bersih Lokasinya sebelah mall dan terdapat beberapa restoran di dekatnya Dekat Stasiun Gubeng Terdapat family room untuk 3 orang dan 4 orang, jadi tidak perlu pesan extra bed Karyawan (resepsionis dan housekeeping) ramah dan cekatan

Depositnya mahal sekali, 300rb Jujur saya tidak mengerti mengapa hotel dengan kelas ini memberlakukan deposit semahal itu. Jika deposit diberikan secara tunai, bisa langsung dikembalikan ketika check out, tapi jika deposit diberikan via transfer, pengembaliannya butuh waktu beberapa hari Securitynya kurang tanggap Ketika tamu kesulitan menaikkan koper dari tempat drop off ke lantai keramik (hanya berjarak beberapa cm), security tidak ada inisiatif membantu meskipun ia melihatnya Posisi resepsionisnya tidak terlihat dari tempat drop off Jika tidak melihat ulasan di youtube, mungkin saya akan kebingungan mencari tempat resepsionis karena posisinya di lantai 2 (harus naik lift dulu). Lantai 1 malah dipakai untuk semacam kafe kecil/tempat makan siap saji. Makanan sarapannya banyak yang keasinan Beberapa kali juga saya mendengar tamu lain mengatakan bahwa makanannya asin sekali Tirai kamar mandi kurang bersih Secara umum kamar mandinya bersih, hanya saja tirainya sudah licin dan berjamur. Jujur agak geli pas memakainya. Sebaiknya tirainya disikat secara berkala agar lebih bersih. Entah mengapa susah mencari taksi online dari hotel dan beberapa driver taksi online yang saya temui juga menanyakan apakah saya susah/lama mendapatkan driver

Tambahan: Harga kamar lebih murah jika pesan lewat OTA (saya dapat harga 450rb/malam untuk triple family room + breakfast, jika pesan langsung di hotel, harganya 500rb) Jika dibandingkan dengan hotel lain yang punya range harga setara (harga di OTA, dengan asumsi kamar superior/deluxe+extra bed+sarapan), hidangan sarapan di hotel ini lebih sederhana. Terdiri dari nasi, mie/bihun, 1 jenis lauk hewani, 1 jenis sayur tumisan, 1 jenis sayur berkuah (yang ini saya tidak ingat apakah tersedia setiap hari atau tidak), roti tawar & selainya, bubur manis (mutiara, sumsum, ketan hitam dalam porsi yang sedikit, hanya 1 mangkuk), sereal sarapan sedikit, 1-2 jenis buah, 1 jenis dessert, dan minuman manis hangat dari mesin pembuat...
