Hotel Laksana Solo Manage by Dafam — Hotel in Surakarta

Pros: connecting rooms. walking distance to Paragon Mall. great service & nice staffs. a very nice coffee shop on the ground floor. love the full-body-length mirror in the room. the AC in room 221 was dripping, but the staff promptly fixed it.

Cons: we stayed in rooms 221 & 223, and the rooms were filthy and looked "tired". Cracks on the walls, flat pillows, holes on bedsheets and sofas. We even found some eyelid stickers on the wall. We suggest the housekeeping should do a very deep cleaning to the entire room, including the walls. bathroom size is actually OK. However in the 221 bathroom: the exhaust fan was out of service, the lighting was too dim, and the shower head looks old & would "die" soon. although the hotel is located in a calm neighbourhood, during fajr prayers (morning prayers) the adzan (calling for prayer) from a nearby masjid is SUPER loud! the parking space is very limited, but the staff will help so no need to worry. breakfast menu was warm, but we didn't enjoy the fried rice & the white rice. The fried noodle was actually tasty but too oily. we found some insects in the bathroom, but they didn't bother us much. no fridge in the room.

Conclusion: well, u get what u pay for. we think this hotel has got a lot of potential, especially because they have got connecting rooms. This can be a plus to attract family travelers. In fact, it was the main reason we chose to book this hotel in the first place (it is very hard to find affordable rooms with connecting rooms). We really hope they will finish the renovation soon, and hopefully we will be back.. if the...

I rarely make a hotel review but this one has gone too far. One of the worst staying experience. The hotel is actually located at a prime spot, however it comes with ugly features. There's no toiletteries provided, only toothbrush. I notice there was a soap dispenser only to find that it's empty. Of course I called the reception desk to ask some refill/toiletteries if they had any but none came. Bear in mind that I had to make a second call because there was no housekeeping guy delivered anything to my room. Turns out, they dont bother to send me any toilletteries. The bed sheet is filthy. There were stains every where and it smell damp as if it wasnt dried properly. Bathroom is insanely awful. There were no toilet mats and it was dangerously slippery bcs i had to get out of the bathroom with wet feet. There were MOLDS on the shower, i wonder if they ever cleaned it up or not. Water from the shower reached out the place where I hung the towel, i ended up wrap myself inside a wet towel. After the bad experience inside the bedroom, of course i didnt bother to try breakfast until my daughter asked for the guava juice. Decided to try the juice first to make sure it's safe for my daughter to drink and turned out it tasted like DUST. The cup, omy god, it was as if they havent cleaned it up for years. Also, theres nothing guava in that juice, it feels like watery as if they added tons of water with 1 box of guava juice. Lucky that i only stayed for a night.

Sorry but this was a full-blown horrible staying experience. I will never recommend...

Excellent: Fast response staff, helpfull, and very friendly. Other equipment such as lift, TV, water heater, lamp, and electric pot have no problem. Some room have a perfect air conditioner. Decent breakfast. In front of the building, there's a mosque. For you who love "Sunnah", this is a big poin for your prayers. The neighborhood is very friendly and informative. Near almost everything: Small store (warung), Warmindo, restos, traditional street food, present store, batik store, fashion, electronic service, and so on.. You can reach those with just a minute walk. Lovely.

Need Improvement: Some air conditioner could be repaired. (Example: 302) In some room, a small space gap near the window even blowing a hot air. This is a problem for the room temperature. (Example: 303) Small parking. The cleanliness could be improved. There's a stain on my spring bed.(Example: 301).
