We stayed at the Zandiyeh hotel during the second week of April 2024 and enjoyed great service. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous and this has left a lasting impression on us. ||||The hotel is quite beautiful and has elegant decor. It is a luxurious five star property with Spa, Swimming pool and great outdoor seating area. The hotel is next door to the historic Arg of Karim Khan and in walking distance to Nasir Al Mulk Mosque. The rooms are quite big. Similar to hotels in Iran, the hotel also charges additionally for kids greater than 2 years of age. We were not aware of this, as our travel agent had not informed us. We had to pay additionally for our kids at the hotel. ||||The morning breakfast has quite a spread with multiple options including continental and Iranian dishes . We are a vegetarian family and we were also surprised to see multiple options available for us during breakfast. There is a nice seating area outside next to the fountain and it's a great place to have morning breakfast. There is also a small outdoor play area for kids to enjoy. Our kids loved it and we also had some relaxing time while the kids were busy 😀.||||The hotel staff speaks fluent English and it was very helpful. The concierge staff were quite approachable and helped us to translate while hiring a taxi, giving us directions for money exchange or buying a sim card. ||||The unexpected turn of events during the night of 13-14 April really showcased us true hospitality and compassion of the hotel staff. Due to the events that night, Iran airspace was closed and all international flights were cancelled. We were at the end of our holiday in Iran and had limited remaining funds (international cards don't work in Iran), our departure was planned for 14 April. We were quite worried as the airline emailed that next flight was uncertain and may happen after 2 weeks. We were stressed out and were trying to figure out options. ||We approached the hotel travel desk, who were quite courteous and quickly helped us on our flight options. They went out of our way to call across to Oman to check for any flight possibility. The hotel manager, Mr. Mohammad Bayat also noticed us getting worried while we were sitting in the lobby. He insisted not to worry about accomodation or money, if we had to extend our stay . He even went above and beyond and offered his own home if we have to stay longer in Iran, in case of attacks/counter attacks. He discussed it with his manager and the hotel insisted that we extend our stay for an additional night at the hotel, absolutely free of charge. The hotel staff's kindness and personal support of Mr. Bayat touched our hearts deeply. We had one less thing to worry about. ||||The travel desk also looked around for any travel options and suggested we try the next day as information becomes clearer about airspace closure. Fortunately, we received information late evening that flights will start operating. The airline was quick to reschedule us for the next day. The travel desk kindly reconfirmed our tickets. We checked out of our hotel the next day. As an avid traveller, I have stayed in many hotels, luxurious to simple hotels, but I have never experienced the extraordinary assistance offered by a hotel during a crisis. The courtesy extended and assurances made a long lasting impression on our family. I recommend new travellers to stay at this hotel and enjoy its unparalleled hospitality. ||||Mr. Bayat's exceptional service and genuine care stood out for us during our stay. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond was remarkable. Safe travels on your future...
Read moreThe hotel is small with only three floors and 70 rooms, but is beautifully designed and decorated. The lobby is spacious with lots of seating, there is a café in the lobby serving hotel drinks and cakes. There are two restaurants, one in the lobby for breakfast and meals and another traditional restaurant in the lower floor. The rooms are spacious with sufficient storage facilities, the bed and mattress are comfortable, there is a writing desk. The rooms have an extra bed, so rooms usually can accommodate three persons. The bathroom is medium size with a bath tub with glass doors. The water pressure is a bit low but okay. There is a good supply of towels and toiletries. The TV has mainly local channels with few English and Arabic news channels. There are also a few English movies but dubbed in local language. Breakfast is very good with various choices, is mainly Iranian-Continental cuisine. There is an egg station. The hotel staff are courteous and very helpful. There is a small gym, a jacuzzi and a medium sized pool, all in one place in the basement and with certain timing for gents. It seems they do not differentiate between normal T-Shirts and swimming tops; you can use the pool but wearing swimming shorts only, which I think is strange but it seems this is common in Iran hotels. There is a tour agent in the hotel. The WIFI is mostly fine, but sometimes un reliable. The hotel is five minutes’ walk to Karim Khan Citadel where you can find a street decorated with festival lights with many bands and music events at nights. There are also many cafes and shops serving the famous Shiraz Ice cream (Bastani) and Falooda. A few more minutes’ walk takes you to the centuries old Bazar Vakil with plenty of shops selling all kinds of antiques, sweets, rugs. fabrics, spies etc. The famous Zand road lined with clothing and shoes shops and cafes is also nearby. Zandeye metro station is 10 minutes’ away on foot. The location of the hotel is near to most of the famous attractions. It is highly recommended for a few days’ stay to tour...
Read moreZindayeh is a smallish (only three guest floors) and new hotel in Shiraz but it has a beautiful lobby and ground floor. A large foyer with tasteful black and cream marble leads to the front desk. The staff are very friendly, from front door to front desk to restaurant. To the left of the lobby is a lower level lounge area and above it is a bar.||The elevator and corridors are smart-looking. The guest room is quite large. The woodwork, executed in the full-wall head and panel board, writing desk, night tables, coffee table, chairs, and minibar cabinet, are intricate and impressive. The window is acceptable, full wall although not floor to ceiling but starts 3.5 feet from the floor. Curtains have both sheer and blackout which is always appreciated. The largish TV set has access to a handful of English channels, including CNN. There was one art piece on the wall – better than most hotels which have no art at all. The T&B is also largish, with enough space for a tub-shower, though the tile material looks a bit cheap. Carpeting is a plain dull red, without any pattern. As with every hotel in Iran, the internet is heavily restricted without access to Facebook, YouTube, Netflix etc.||Our major complaint was the availability and location of electrical outlets for our Macs, power banks, cameras, and phones. There was one outlet at the work desk, which we used for our Macs. But there were no outlets at the night tables. Instead, there were two outlets in the middle of the headboard! So we had no choice but to plug everything in the middle of our bed! Whoever did that design should be fired – ha ha ha. ||Breakfast had an impressive wide range, and coffee was served by the young waitresses. There was also and egg station, and the eggs were served on plates with...
