Adare Country House — Hotel in County Limerick

One of the owners Eileen wasn’t honest with me about a reservation. I inquired for a night stay and originally she said that she did have an opening and told me to send my credit card info and a phone number. I emailed her back and said that at this time I was only inquiring but that I would get back to her which I did. A couple of days later, I wrote her with a few questions about a lower level room because I am handicapped and also the check in time. She answered me very abruptly by saying she did not have any rooms available. So til told her that I would take any room that she had. She wrote me again and said she had nothing for me!!! Referred me elsewhere. I just knew that she wasn’t being honest so my husband wrote her and inquired about a room and magically she had a room available.she gave my husband the same note to send his credit card info to save the room. She was extremely dishonest and very abrupt with me. If you are looking for someone kind while on a trip to Ireland, I would avoid this place. It came highly recommended so I was very disappointed needless to say. But to just outright lie to me?? No! That’s not how you do business. I feel discriminated against to say the least due to being handicapped. Also due to having to a couple of questions for her. The bottom line is she didn’t want to deal with me even though I was so sweet to her. . Her name is Eileen. Zero stars but I had to give at least 1 star...

I do not really have time to waste on these individuals but, I am so incensed by their abysmal organisation and customer care, I will take the time to do so. I would also note that they generally have good reviews. This is why we chose them in the first place. The issue is simply one of them honouring their obligations when it comes to a booking. I also dislike liars. It’s a pet hate of mine. So, I booked a room at this place 4th November 2017 for August 2018 to attend a family wedding. Plenty of time in advance. On 30th May 2018 I was contacted by email and advised that they had overbooked and, as such, cancelled my booking. Although requested, no satisfactory reason was offered to explain this totally inconvenient error. Naturally, I did express my utter surprise at only being notified now of this matter. In response, I was advised that I had been notified 3 months earlier via email. No such email was received and, I ask myself, if this was the case, why did they feel it necessary to email again? Quite simply, someone at this place had got it wrong or perhaps they deliberately overbook, and left two totally dissatisfied potential customers. I have never experienced rubbish like this when booking a hotel before. I note they do respond to feedback so I wait to see what drivel they come back...

My husband and I booked this B&B in Nov 2024, had my work christmas party up in Adare Manor. I'm 7 months pregnant so said it would save me driving us 1 hour home late at night. Upon arrival the place is nicely kept, looks good and rooms were adequate and had space. We met the lady of the house who showed us to our room. We asked for a cup of tea but she just said quite crossly tea there in the room (which we preceded to make and it was awful and milk was sour). We daren't ask for tea..|We drove back after the party, parking is very ample. However at 4am the tv in our room came on full blast. No idea why as we had it on earlier in the evening at low volume. I know I wasn't dreaming as I was stone cold sober, had to jump up and pull the plug out. Strange thing to happen but look not 100% their fault. Then at 10.20am we headed down for breakfast, breakfast room door was locked. We went down to reception and the man said to us very rudely "breakfast doesn't go on all day lads" Might I add this was a Saturday morning and we were not informed of the 9.30am finish upon checkin! I had to beg for a bit of bread as I was feeling faint being pregnant. I would not recommend this B&B will not be...
