A really enjoyable walking tour of the historic and charming village of Adare with Jorgen from "Adare Walks". Jorgen has researched Adare in great depth and his enthusiasm for the history and heritage of Adare shone through. As the village is compact, there was actually little walking involved. We learnt about the important contribution of the Wyndham-Quinn family to the development of the village while also visiting the impressive Trinitarian Church and Franciscan Friary. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and we finished up at The Adare Heritage Centre where Jorgen recommended the local artisan ice cream which finished off a most enjoyable time. Highly...
