Good Friday was the day we drove through the village and the traffic was terrible. It’s cute but there are only a few thatched roofs on the main road. Feel they over promoted that. We were coming in from Limerick. We actually turned left before the park /manor and took a big loop to get to the other side. We thought that countryside was much prettier than the town itself. Beautifully hedges and landscaping. You might consider that route if you make the trek out here just to see this village. Read moreWonderful breakfast at Adare Manor this morning with all my sisters..fantastic welcoming staff and the chef. . She was really on her game..pardon the pun! Beautiful festive decor by the way! Followed by a leisurely walk round the manicured grounds and the into the historic village and so many things to see and do..heritage center so informative..the Abbey.. im running out of time so i cant wait for a revisit. I must thank that wonderful groundsman who kindly offered me a lift( as he could see my mobility problems)but it was too good to miss on foot.A definitely magical experience and flying that flag...
Read moreThe traffic jams here baffle me! 'For no apparent reason, cars come to a standstill while driving through the village, it's a "tached cottage" not Stormy Daniel's naked! Get over it.. and drive on !!! In short it's a pretty village with a lot of over priced restaurants. When someone opens up an Avoca Style Restaurant here at fair prices, they will simply clean up here!'
