I have loved nearly all food traveling around Ireland. Out of all the places only 2 have been less than expected. This is one of those
Service-we were seated right away-no wait Water was never refilled Was able to get bill after someones smoke break We were seated not far from the kitchen so could hear the conversations in there
Food- Fries were twice fried (meaning not fresh and refried to ‘reheat’ Burger was raw Was sent back only took about 20 minutes to get a new one fully cooked snd to credit brought fresh fries
Tomato soup was oil heavy and similar to spaghettios base (if you are from the States) and had a tinny flavor like can based items were used in it’s making It had nice garnishing with a couple small croutons soaked in it
I dod ask if I could get some potatoes and carrots on the side as the mains were all meat dishes, but was told They were all out of potatoes snd carrots.
Yet, another table was served potatoes and carrots after us
Atmosphere: rock playing on speakers a few bugs flying around we swatted away, but utensils were clean
Food was similar to what you would expect at a Marie calendars
I could imagine this being loved because it is so rare to see family style seating and maybe tonight was just a new chef and new menu with new wait staff
I would not recommend...
Read moreWonderful setting, all the dishes we ordered tasted divine. And lovely desserts. The pulled pork sandwich is delicious! Highly recommended. Especially in summer time, the weather is very lovely. I would give it a 10/10! You will definitely enjoy your time here👌😀. The staff is very friendly too, always around to help so there is not much waiting. This restaurant is also suitable for vegetarians as there are vegetarian options. The menu has a variety of foods therefore it is easy to choose what you like. This restorant situated in small town named Adare, if you are lucky then you can park free just in front of restorant.. Restorant also have painting for sale,...
Read moreStopped here on the way to Dingle, this is a quaint town and we had a delicious lunch here at the Blue Door. I had the cottage pie and it was amazing, husband had the tomato basil soup which was good. Enjoyed a table at the window to watch the activity as we waited for our lunch. We only had water to drink and never got a refill but we still had an hour + to get the Dingle so it was all good. I’m still thinking of that cottage pie days later, I wish I could...
