The Happy Pig Guesthouse — Hotel in Kenmare Municipal District

We just spent two wonderful nights at the Happy Pig, and loved every bit of our stay there! We've stayed at many B&B's the world over, and this is hands down our very favorite! Irma and Claudia really go the extra mile, from offering us tea and home made pie at our arrival, to leaving fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in our room. They also spend time talking to you and offering tips of where to eat, places to see, and provide driving directions if needed. We stayed in a king room which was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed. Loved the extra touches in our room, like a bottle of mint infused water, information on the area, and fresh flowers. The bathroom was amazing with a rain shower head shower and plenty of room to put our stuff. Breakfast each day was delish and the best on our trip! My husband and I stayed at Happy Pig for two nights while on our honeymoon in December/January. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Irma is an AMAZING host (and cook!!!) who took such great care of us. We even started calling her "Auntie Irma" during our stay because we felt like we were at a family member's home. The rooms were spacious and clean, the common areas were cozy and welcoming, and the town of Kenmare was the perfect place to experience an authentic New Years Eve celebration.
