I was with my extended family.| those who come independently should drive with an app, because you can easily miss the hotel, which is located between residential buildings that look almost the same.|There is no possibility to go next to the sidewalk, there is no person who can see you coming and help, there is one luggage trolley, at the entrance (the rest are far away by the elevators inside).||The hotel is supposedly accessible to the disabled, those in a wheelchair or very old, will not be able to enter or leave alone due to heavy, non-automatic and difficult to open doors, even the entrances with a slope that a non-motorized chair will have difficulty climbing without help.||There are no shops or restaurants or attractions nearby at a walking distance, it is worth having a car. I would not recommend the hotel for families with small children or teenagers.||The hotel has 2 small parking spaces on either side, and a bit of free parking on the street, we were in off season so I don't know how much of that is enough for guests in high season, what is certain is that the pool and sunbathing area are very small relative to the number of guests in the hotel. when we stayed the pool area was closed.||We booked 6 rooms, months in advance and had several requests, mainly regarding the location of the rooms, almost none of them were answered, but when we check-in, the receptionist Ross tried his best to accommodate, was very patient and courteous.|The hotel asks for the full prepayment before receiving the key room, and the receipt received by email before departure, a bit felt to me like the hotel doesn't trust his guests, In my opinion this is not something that suitable for a luxury hotel, another thing that is not suitable for a luxury hotel is that we were told that the room key cards can stop working if you put them next to a cell phone, so we were careful and yet on the second day of our visit, some of the cards stopped working, even the keys that were left in the room.|| When we got to the rooms in some of them AC did not work (the AC is central, and after we contacted the receptionist, the matter was arranged).||The best thing about this hotel is the courtesy of the staff, every request is treated , one exception is the cleaning staff.||Most of us were on the second floor of the hotel, the carpet hallway was covered with bleach stains, almost all rooms had a problem with the plumbing in the shower- when you turn on the shower pipe, the shower head that is fixed in the ceiling drips with cold water, in my room the towel intended for the bathroom floor was dirty including small hairs.|Another strange thing: on the first day there were 2 face towels, next to the sink, on the second day only one, and on the third day none, when we asked for them, they said there were none and gave us regular size towels instead.|The bathroom had a lot of water damage in the walls and mold in the ceiling, the toilet paper was thin and not soft, there is no drainage opening if the water spills over the bathtub.|Some of the outlets did not work, the bedside lamps that makes the most lighting in the room are without a switch, the technician's solution is plug them out, only on the last day in one of the rooms, it turn out that there was a switch in the wall that just doesn't work (in 5 out of 6 rooms)|The family room does not have enough lighting in the "living room" and only one toilet room (the Ritz Hotel next to, has 2)|The fridge in my room made noise, because the hotel is very quiet at night it was difficult to sleep when it was connected.|. I will just point out that the hotel's PR person who came over to ask our opinion, said that the hotel would be undergoing renovation.||In favor of the rooms, they are spacious, the walls are thick enough not to hear the neighbors, curtains that cover the window well if you want to sleep when there is light outside, large and comfortable beds, there is a shoe spoon and a sponge for polishing shoes, a kit for repairing clothes, a box of tissues and of course soap, conditioner, shampoo, body lotion and a shower cap. |An iron you have to ask for and it comes with a large ironing board.| Every morning they bring water bottles, the bottle intended for the coffee machine is the most recommended for drinking.||One of the things we enjoyed the most about the hotel is the breakfast room, different types of food drinks and desserts. We asked a man named Nixon to joined some tables and he made sure that every morning we had reserved joined tables just for us.|I must commend Shelby in the breakfast room, who greeted us every morning with a smile and rushed to help us without us asking, making everyone feel like a VIP guest||In short.|pro – amazing attitude, wonderful breakfast, spacious rooms with a variety of toiletries, some have a sea view.|con – cleaning and maintenance, you need a car, a small pool, there's nothing to do outside the room, children and teenagers will get bored, doesn't justify the price, the disabled need help getting in and out...

I am writing this review to share a deeply disappointing and frankly shocking experience at Herods Herzliya.
Overcharge and Billing Issues: We were charged significantly more than expected. The final invoice was unclear, with unexplained items such as an “Up Sale” charge. Despite repeated requests for clarification and correction, the hotel ignored every attempt I made by email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and phone. Only after I posted a public review did I receive a reply.
Poor Room Condition: The suite—presented as “luxury”—was in a neglected state. Walls had cracked plaster and unfinished patchwork, the bedroom doorframe was partially detached, silicone in the shower was peeling, the balcony light didn’t work, and there were paint stains on furniture and rust on the sofa legs. The suite felt closer to a cheap roadside motel than a five-star hotel charging astronomical nightly rates.
Air Conditioning Failure: During the peak of summer, the living room AC failed. The so-called repair lasted only a few hours before breaking again, leaving my family, including small children, to suffer in unbearable heat.
Management’s Response: The Guest Relations Manager, Etty, claimed we were offered solutions: an upgrade (but only for the very last night, which was impractical with a family of five and eight suitcases) and a complimentary dinner (irrelevant, since we already had family plans, and the buffet was the same food served to all guests). She also insisted an email was sent on September 15, yet there is no record of it in any of my inboxes. Worse, she admitted we had communicated via WhatsApp before—contradicting her claim that email was the “only way” to reach me.
When I showed her the defects in the suite, she dismissed them as “small things” or “not serious.” For a hotel calling itself luxury, this attitude is shocking and insulting.
Final Thoughts: The lack of maintenance, the broken AC during a hot summer, the dismissive attitude toward visible defects, and the refusal to offer fair financial compensation created genuine suffering for my family. Instead of accountability, we were ignored until I went public.
I demand a full explanation of the mysterious charges, a corrected invoice, a refund of the overcharge, and appropriate compensation for the unacceptable conditions we endured. Until then, it is impossible to consider Herods Herzliya a true five-star...
Read moreAwful customer service, and awful hotel! I stayed here last Friday, booked a room at this "luxury hotel" for 2 nights, and arrived just before shabbat. i turned on the ac and left the room for the night as we were invited out. When we came back and went to sleep, we woke up 8 times during the night dripping from the heat, as the AC was broken!. We woke up and went downstairs to notify the front desk first thing in the morning, and they assured us it will be fixed and sent a technician. The room by then was unbearable due to the summer heat, so we left and returned at 12 only to find that it was still broken. We notified the front desk AGAIN who then said that it it will be fixed asap, and again we left as the room was unbearable, over 100 degrees. We returned at 7, only to find that not only was the AC not fixed, they also came and shut off the lights in our room as we keep shabbat. We notified them a third time, and left the hotel until after shabbat, as again, we couldn't stay there. When we came back at 9:30, the AC was still not working, and we told them we are cancelling the 2nd night and would like a refund. They assured us that it will be processed, and the manager will contact us the following day.
This manager, has been giving us the run around for the past week, insinuating it is our fault and that this didn't happen (everything has proof), and trying to argue with us about when we left (since we couldn't check out before shabbat ends due to us being observant). This is not customer service for a luxury hotel.
Really disappointing and an awful experience, broken ac making the room not habitable, and on top of that rude and abrasive customer service. If i could give 0...
